Anne Curtis' star at its brightest in 2011

Anne Curtis topped Star Studio magazine’s list of “most intriguing and inspiring people of 2011.”

While she may be humble enough not to brag about it, most people would definitely agree that 2011 is the year when Curtis’ star was at its brightest.

This past year, Curtis launched her own music album even though she is not a singer.

Her album “AnneBisyosa” received a gold record award 3 weeks after it was released.

Curtis was also one of the lead stars of Star Cinema’s “No Other Woman” which was a blockbuster hit.

It earned almost P220 million in ticket sales during its third week of showing.

In 2011, Curtis was also the first Filipino to be added to the roster of endorsers of an international cosmetic brand, putting her alongside popular Hollywood stars.

She also received a star at the Eastwood Walk of Fame this year.

Furthermore, she was able to conquer the stage of the Araneta Coliseum when she guested on Martin Nievera and Side A’s concert.

While Curtis considers this year overwhelming, she said she is glad that a lot of opportunities continue to come her way.

“I don’t think ‘Wow, I have all of this.’ It’s not like that at all. I have nothing more I can ask for. I’m just so happy. I’m just happy with what has come to me, and I just go on being the jolly and bubbly person that I am,” she told Star Studio.

Maricel-Gabby film disqualified from MMFF's major awards

Regal Films' entry “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, which stars Maricel Soriano and Gabby Concepcion, has been disqualified from this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) competition's major awards.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com on Wednesday, MMFF executive committee chairman Francis Tolentino said they disqualified the film after Regal Films changed its pre-approved cast and storyline, which is against the rules of the festival.

"Final na po. Ibig sabihin ay disqualification from major awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay at Gatpuno Villegas Cultural awards," said Tolentino, who is also the Metro Manila Development Authority chairman.

"Ang violation po ay they deviated (from the script). Under the rule kung ano ang approved, hindi na po dapat palitan," he added.

In an interview, Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde said she is saddened that “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” has been disqualified from competing in the Best Picture category.

She stressed they had advised the MMFF executive committee about the changes made in the film, adding that they had no intention of misleading the committee.

"Hindi po sila nag-advise. Nagsabi lang sila ng change sa casting pero sa script hindi sila nag-advise. Nag-advise sila ng November 23 sa cast. Pero the script po ay nagbago," Tolentino said.

However, the stars and crew of “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” are still allowed to compete in the MMFF’s technical categories.

Regal Films is set to file a motion for reconsideration on the film's disqualification with the MMFF executive committee.

Maja-Matteo film to be shown next year

Maja Salvador said is doing a movie with real-life boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli.

In an interview during the launch of her newest endorsement on Tuesday, Salvador said the movie, titled “My Cactus Heart,” will be shown next year.

“Sa first quarter ipapalabas din ‘yung pelikula namin ni Matteo. Indie film din siya under Star Cinema, ‘My Cactus Heart,’” she said.

“Isang taon na namin siyang ginagawa and ‘yun, ipapalabas na. Ako basta magandang story at kaya kong gampanan, gagawin ko,” she added.

Salvador said "My Cactus Heart" tells the story of a woman who is having a hard time falling in love.

"Kwento ng isang babae na matinik ang kanyang puso, 'yung walang nakakalapit. Matinik ang puso niya, never pa naman siyang nagkakaroon ng boyfriend na ang tanong bakit ganoon, eh never pa naman siyang nagkaroon ng boyfriend," she said.

Aside from the film, Salvador is also gearing up for a television series with actor Jason Abalos.

"This first quarter po (2012) ay ipapalabas na po ‘yung bagong soap with Jason Abalos at ang nagbabalik na Kapamilya natin na si Mr. Patrick Garcia. Magandang istorya siya, ‘yung past ng magulang namin ay pwede palang mangyari sa anak nila. At kaya bang ipaglaban ‘yon kahit mali na ‘yung pag-ibig na pinaglalaban," she said.

New Year's resolution

Meanwhile, Salvador said she wishes to feed her soul next year.

"Ang New Year’s resolution ko ay more time na makapunta ng church," she said.

Salvador added that she is also looking forward to doing more projects.

"Sana this 2012 ay more projects pa. Peace, peace at love, love," she said.

"Sobrang saya ng 2011 ko. Yes may mangyayaring ‘di maganda pero alam kong kailangan ko ‘yon para mas maging matibay ako. Kailangan kong pagdaanan ang mga ganoong bagay para mas buo ang pagkatao ko. Hindi naman pwede na puro maganda lang ang nangyayari," she added.

‘Enteng ng Ina Mo’ may get a sequel

Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas and Prince of Comedy Vic Sotto’s first movie together, “Enteng ng Ina Mo,” remains the undisputed box office leader in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.

According to Star Cinema, “Enteng ng Ina Mo” earned P67 million in ticket sales during its first two days of release. The movie premiered on Christmas Day.

In an interview with “Bandila,” de las Alas and Sotto said there might be a possibility for them to do a sequel of “Enteng ng Ina Mo” next year.

"Hindi malayo ang bulong-bulungan na yan, kahit magsigaw-sigawan tayo," Sotto said.

Asked about the title of the possible sequel, Sotto replied: “Sa ngayon, ano, ‘Enteng ng Ina Mo Rin!”

Sarah Geronimo is 2011's most talked-about celeb: poll

Sarah Geronimo is this year's "most talked-about celeb," according to entertainment website Yahoo! OMG.

Geronimo got a score of 47%. The results of the poll are published in the January issue of Star Studio magazine.

Landing in second place is actress Marian Rivera who got a score of 35%, followed by Kris Aquino and Willie Revillame with 25%.

In 2011, Geronimo was all over the news when she figured in a rift with actress Cristine Reyes, who is the girlfriend of actor Rayver Cruz. The Popstar Princess earlier admitted that she had a "personal relationship" with Cruz, but it did not last long.

Geronimo also starred in Star Cinema movies "Catch Me I'm In Love" and "'Won't Last A Day Without You" this year.

She was paired with actor Gerald Anderson in both movies and their team-up was warmly welcomed by the viewers.

Phil Younghusband and actress Angel Locsin were named this year's "favorite real-life couple" in an online poll conducted by Yahoo! OMG and published in the January 2012 issue of entertainment magazine Star Studio.

The couple got a score of 36%.

Their relationship started when Younghusband asked Locsin to be his Valentine date via microblogging site Twitter.

While they continue to say that they are not an official couple yet, and that labels are not important in relationships, a lot of people are fond of the two because of the affection they show to each other.

Despite her success in the entertainment industry, actress-host Toni Gonzaga keeps her feet on the ground.

In an interview on "Kris TV" aired on Tuesday, Gonzaga told host Kris Aquino that her parents always remind her to stay simple and humble.

Kristine Hermosa gives birth to baby girl

Actress Kristine Hermosa gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Monday.

In a statement, Hermosa's husband Oyo Sotto said their baby named Ondrea Bliss was born via normal delivery.

"Ondrea Bliss was born yesterday, December 26 through normal delivery at 11:49 p.m. Her weight is 2680 gm. Tin is okay and still recovering. She was brought to the hospital around 6 p.m. yesterday," Sotto said.

In an interview with "The Buzz" last November, Hermosa said Ondrea means "strong and courageous" while Bliss means "unmeasurable joy."

Sotto and Hermosa have a 3-year-old adopted son named Quiel.

'GGV' to air first live episode with Kris

Kris Aquino will have a chance to show off her funny side as she is set to appear on the first-ever live episode of the ABS-CBN show "Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV)."

Comedian-actor Vice Ganda, who hosts GGV, confirmed that he will share the stage with his good friend Aquino on January 8, 2012.

The comedian said this will be the first time that GGV will be airing live since it started May 2011.

"Ito abangan niyo na ngayon pa lang sinasabi ko na sa January 8 ay kaabang-abang yan dahil first time na magla-live ang Gandang Gabi Vice. “Enteng ng Ina Mo” lead star Ai-Ai delas Alas is hoping to surpass the records set by Star Cinema blockbuster hits “No Other Woman” and “Praybeyt Benjamin" this year.

In an interview with ANC’s “Dateline Philippines,” delas Alas said no person would not want to set a new record in Philippine cinema.

However, she said she would not feel bad if her film does not surpass the earnings of the two Star Cinema hits.

“Hopefully, sana naman. Kung ano ang ibinigay ni God sa atin, oo naman. Pero ang pinakamahalaga at least napasaya namin ang mga tao ngayong Pasko,” she said.

With Best Actress awards under her belt for her “Tanging Ina Mo Last Na ‘To” movie, delas Alas revealed she also wants to earn the same recognition this year.

“Naku, siyempre sino naman ang ayaw na may award? Kung ako [ang manalo] eh ‘di salamat po. Kung hindi ako eh ganoon talaga ang buhay. Siyempre hindi naman lahat ibinibigay sa iyo. Pero masaya ako kung ako,” she said.

Reports indicated that “Enteng ng Ina Mo” is the biggest Metro Manila Film Festival opener.

The movie earned P38.5 million during the festival’s first showing day.

Shamcey Supsup reveals plans for 2012

Beauty queen Shamcey Supsup is still unsure what lies next in her possible showbiz career but reveals she is willing to take projects that are near and dear to her heart.

Speaking to ABS-CBN entertainment talk show "The Buzz", Supsup said she is open to doing more shows in 2012 but only if it is socially relevant.

"Something that is about home design, lifestyle or about charities. Somewhere I can express my opinion and help people," she said.

She also said that what really excites her is to continue her studies next year. She said she plans to take distance language courses instead of going abroad to study.

Supsup said she never knew that joining the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant would bring her to the Miss Universe pageant and a 3rd runner-up finish in the competition. She said it was in December last year when she asked her dad if she could join the Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

Supsup said her initial motivation in joining the pageant was to change people's perceptions of beauty queens.

However, she said she was changed when she started learning the other contestants and had a chance to join the Miss Universe pageant.

"Akala ko I was there to change people's minds but what happened, it was me who changed...Hindi pala siya madali. For me, in all the things I've done, board exams, architecture school, this was one of the hardest but it was all worth it," she said.

Despite her break-up with actor Piolo Pascual, actress KC Concepcion is ending the year with a happy heart.

“It will end this year with me having a happy heart and [I'll] start my year with a happy heart,” said Concepcion after the promotional shoot of her newest hosting job, “The X-Factor Philippines.”

The X-Factor Philippines

Fresh from her exclusive contract signing with ABS-CBN, Concepcion will start 2011 by hosting the country’s own version of “The X-Factor.”

“Ito ay isa sa pinakamalaking show abroad especially sa UK at masayang masaya ako na dinala ng ABS-CBN ang X-Factor sa Pilipinas," she said.

"It's the first reality talent show, yung talagang from audition process ay pupuntahan ko talaga ang mga probinsiyang yan at makikilala ko isa isa. And 13 (years and) above ang pwedeng sumali dito. So first time kong makakita ng teenager at 100 years old na pwedeng sumali dito sa X-Factor, so hindi natin alam kung sinong secret treasure ang makukuha natin," Concepcion said.

"The X-Factor Philippines," the local franchise of "The X Factor," first aired in United Kingdom in 2004.

The X-Factor Philippines will hold auditions starting January in Batangas, Olongapo, Bataan, Cebu, Bacolod and in Manila.

Megan Young has admitted that she enjoys playing the role of a fierce antagonist rather than a lovable protagonist.

In an interview with Push.com.ph, the 21-year-old actress said, “It’s interesting to be the bitch. I love playing the bitch. It’s fun. It’s just something that’s not your typical bida role and it’s more fun playing character roles.”

Although she prefers taking on “kontrabida” roles, Young clarified that she is actually open to accept other types of roles, as long as it offers an interesting character.

“Okay sa akin kahit hindi kontrabida, basta okay ‘yung character," she said.

Proving this claim, she shared details about the diverse character she will portray in the upcoming ABS-CBN television series "Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Hiyas."

“My role there is Sapphire and I’m from the city. I own a company and my back story is about where I grew up. She’s a very giving person and she loves helping people," she said.

“My role in ‘Hiyas’ [is] very different. It’s so different kasi drama eh and siyempre kailangan in character ka, tapos ‘yung character ko sobrang opposite ko. She’s nice and pa-sweet siya eh,” she added.

Apart from acting, Young said she also hopes to venture into film production in the near future.

As a current filmmaking student in College of St. Benilde, she said, “Hopefully [I] maybe like get into directing or doing creative stuff like that [after I graduate].”

Asked in jest if she's now the richest in show business for working so hard this year, Domingo replied: "Mayaman tayong lahat kasi puro pelikulang Pilipino ito, so lahat ng advantages na ito ay para sa mga manonood na Filipino."

Kris wants to film documentary on Aquino history

Kris revealed that she wants to make a documentary about her family’s history in a rather unconventional way.

During her show “Kris TV” on Friday, Kris said that she wants to trace back her heritage through food.

Sharing her inspiration for this project, she said, “Meron kasi akong napanood na [documentary], it’s called ‘Kimchi Chronicles,’ It traced her history based on food. I would like to trace my family’s history based on food.”

According to Aquino, she plans to do the project by retracing all the places her family has gone to.

“Ang history at kasaysayan na pinagdaanan ng pamilya ko [will be] told through the places where we were and the food that we ate, at pinapasok mo doon ‘yung history ng Pilipinas,” she said.

Meanwhile, when asked about her prospected co-host for this project, Aquino said that she wants to share the floor with broadcast journalist Jessica Soho.

“I dream of working with Jessica Soho. I want to make documentaries with her because I’m a true fan,” she said

“I love her work and I know that it is something that will uplift the Philippines,” she added.

First taping day nitong Huwebes, December 22, ni Ryza Cenon para sa upcoming primetime series ng GMA-7 na Legacy.

Pero pagkatapos ng taping niya, lilipad din siya agad papuntang Cagayan de Oro kasama ang grupo ng Kapuso Foundation.

Tutulong kasi siyang mamigay ng relief goods sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng bagyong Sendong.

SPENDING CHRISTMAS ON THE STREETS. Nakaugalian na ni Ryza na ipagdiwang ang Pasko sa pamamagitan ng paglilibot sa mga kalye upang mamigay ng pagkain sa mga higit na nangangailangan.

Lahad ni Ryza, "Ginawa ko na siya last year, namimigay kami ng foods.

"Kasi sabi ko nga, 'Bakit may iba na ganoon, nagki-Christmas sila, pero natutulog sila sa kalsada.'

"Sabi ko, 'Bakit hindi ko i-try na magbigay ng pagkain, sa kanila mag-spend ng Christmas. And then, after na lang na mamigay, doon na lang tayo kumain.'"

Ayon pa sa Kapuso young star, dapat din niyang ibahagi kung anumang blessings meron siya sa mga nangangailangan.

"Yun naman, e...kahit naman wala po akong work, bina-budget ko ang kinita ko the whole year para lang mag-share.

"Meron din ako sa December 27 sa PCMC, sa Philippine Children's Medical Center.

"Actually, it's more on event ng tita ko.

"Sabi ko, sama ako. Mamimigay ako ng toys.

"Ganun...parang pang-third year ko na po.

"At ang ginawa ko naman ngayon, dahil hindi pa ako nakakapag-spend ng Christmas with my fans, ini-invite ko naman sila para mag-volunteer.

"Para kaming lahat, nandoon [sa Cagayan de Oro] para mag-volunteer at makatulong."

Normally, sinasalubong ni Ryza ang Pasko sa lansangan upang mamahagi ng mga pagkain.

Tuwing mismong araw ng Pasko naman ay sumasama siya sa boyfriend niya sa Cavite para sa family Christmas party nito.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS. Para kay Ryza, isa sa pinakamasayang taon niya ang 2011.

"Sobrang saya, sobrang dami ng blessings!" bulalas ni Ryza.

"Machete, tapos nagkaroon ng Time of My Life.

"So, masaya po siya na sobrang challenging."

Dagdag pa niya, "Kasi, after ng Time..., nagkaroon ako ng sakit. Nagkaroon ako ng pneumonia.

"Pero hindi naman ako na-confine, kaso ubo ako nang ubo.

"At that time, during Time..., nagpapatanggal na nga po ako kasi parang hindi na kaya, kailangan ko nang magpahinga.

"Pero dahil patapos na rin, tapusin ko na. Nagkataon lang na puro sayaw."

HEART PROBLEM. Pero bukod sa pneumonia, nakitaan din daw siya ng arrhythmia, o irregular heartbeat.

Ayon kay Ryza, may ilang segundo raw na tumitigil ang pagtibok ng puso niya.

Kuwento nga niya, "Kung minsan, kapag inaatake ako, manhid ang buong katawan ko, hanggang ulo. Kapag sobrang stressed.

"Bago nga ako umalis ng Hong Kong, nag-ganoon ako. So, nakakatakot.

"Kapag manhid kasi, mabigat.

"So far, hindi pa ako tapos sa mga tests ko. Hindi pa ako nakakapag-run.

"Kailangan daw kasing makita sa stress. So, yun ang challenging sa akin.

"Sa side pala ng Cenon, meron talagang heart problem."

Ang apleyidong Cenon ay sa side ng mother niya, na namatay dahil sa colon cancer noong two years old pa lang si Ryza.

"Ngayon po, hindi na ako nagpapa-stress!" natatawang pahabol pa ng StarStruck alumna.

GUARANTEED CONTRACT. Ngayong taon din nagkaroon ng guaranteed contract for six years sa GMA-7 si Ryza.

Isa raw ito sa itinuturing ni Ryza na magandang nangyari sa kanya.

Ano naman ang expectations niya for 2012?

"Sa expectation, yun lang naman, lahat naman, after ng another project, meron agad.

"Guaranteed ka, so ine-expect mo rin na hindi ka mababakante."

Ang susunod ngang project ni Ryza sa 2012 ay ang Legacy.

Saad niya, "Ako naman po, happy naman po ako basta may work. Yun lang.

"At plano ko rin na palitan ang car ko. Magsi-six years na ito. So, sana po."

Ryza turned 24 last December 21. Pero nauna na raw niya itong i-celebrate nang magpunta siya Hong Kong.

Ano naman ang birthday wish niya?

Ayon kay Ryza, "Ano lang po, good health at saka peace of mind.

"Nag-wish din ako sa Buddha sa Hong Kong, yun lang din ang wish ko—good health, peace of mind, at saka more projects."

Angelica Panganiban denies causing scene at airport

Angelica Panganiban has denied rumors that she berated immigration officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

In a press conference, Panganiban admitted that she recently had an encounter with immigration officers at the airport but denied that she made a scene by shouting profanity at them.

“No, no, no. Hindi ah! Maraming tao doon, nakaka-ano naman [kung magmumura ako doon],” Panganiban said.

Narrating her side of the story, Panganiban said, “Palabas na dapat kami ni Pooh [ng NAIA] and then hinarang kami nung parang [immigration officer]. Sabi niya, ‘Ay babayaran niyo ‘yan, babayaran niyo ‘yan’ (referring to the customs tax for Panganiban’s signature bags purchased abroad).”

“Sabi ko [sa immigration officer], ‘Magkano po?’ So nagsulat na siya, sabi ko, ‘Magkano po ang babayaran namin?’ Sabi niya [sa kasama niya], ‘Kausapin mo. Sagutin mo ‘yung tanong niya.’ Sabi ko, ‘Hindi po ba puwedeng kayo ang sumagot?’ Sabi ko, ‘Huwag naman po kayong ganyan.’ Kasi syempre gusto ko malaman kung ano ang babayaran ko,” she added.

According to Panganiban, the immigration officers who confronted her were rude.

“Parang ang rude lang na iwe-welcome ka ng ganu’n pagkatapos ng 14 hours na biyahe, eh kinakausap ko nang maayos, ginaganun-ganon niya ako,” she said.

Panganiban has also belied the reports saying that her friend Pooh was the one who shouldered the fee required by the immigration officers.

“Hindi po ‘yon totoo. Ako ho ‘yung nagbayad,” Panganiban said.

“Actually ‘yung sweldo ko, ‘yung dollars ko [ang ipinangbayad ko] kasi walang credit card hindi raw sila tumatanggap. Kailangan daw cash so meron akong remaining P6,000 and then ‘yung dollars ‘yung ibinigay ko. Nagkulang na lang ako ng P600 si Pooh na ang nag-abono nun. Kasi hindi kami makakalabas eh kasi ‘yung ATM nasa labas so andun lang talaga kami sa loob,” she explained.

Empress Schuck shared her excitement over her newest television series titled "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw."

Schuck said she will be working with actor Ejay Falcon in the said afternoon series.

The two stars first worked together in the defunct primetime program "Guns and Roses."

"Ito ang isang series na aabangan, na mature na talaga. Normal na teleserye na mabait at mahirap, ang twist doon ay lumalaban. Gusto ko ang role na ito. Matagal ko na itong hinihintay so excited na ako," Schuck said in an interview during a photo shoot for her new series.

The young actress said "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw" is a TV remake of the 1990 hit film of the same title.

"Ako po ay si Sheryl doon. Isang mabait na anak pero palaban siya kasi kung inaapi siya eh lumalaban siya. Though sumali siya sa isang sorority na ang member ay inaapi doon, at ang leader doon ay si Jennifer. Sumali siya doon kasi gusto niyang makita ang daddy niya na nasa ibang bansa at saka may scholarship kapag kasali ka sa sorority kaya tinitiis niya," Schuck said about her character in the series.

Also part of "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw" are stars Nikki Gil, Eula Valdez, Tessie Tomas and Sylvia Sanchez.

Carla Abellana has belied the rumors that movie producer Lily Monteverde had barred her from promoting her movie with Laguna Governor ER Ejercito, the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Manila Kingpin: The Untold Story of Asiong Salonga.”

During the recent launching of 2011 MMFF entries, Abellana clarified that Monteverde did not gave her direct orders to refrain from promoting her film with Ejercito.

According to Abellana, she is just giving due respect and support to Monteverde, and the Regal Films family in general, considering that she is an exclusive talent of the said production firm.

Annabelle Rama wants QC prosecutor to inhibit in Nadia case

Annabelle Rama has filed a motion to inhibit the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office from all the cases filed against her by former actress Nadia Montenegro.

On the motion for inhibition she filed on Tuesday, Rama said that she “has been informed by a reliable source that she will not be able to get a fair and impartial treatment in the entire Quezon City Prosecutor's Office.”

According to Rama, the reason behind the alleged bias is the information she received about Montenegro reportedly having connections with people in the office.

Quezon City prosecutor Liezel Morales was taken aback by the motion Rama filed.

Morales said that she is not the type of government official who will take on bribes.

“Ako ‘yung fiscal na kahit presidente hindi nalalakad sa kaso,” she said.

“Kaya nga walang lumalapit sa akin sa kaso, kilala naman nila ako, hindi nila ako nalalakad. Alam mo, hindi ako nababayaran,” she added.

Montenegro’s camp has denied Rama’s accusations.

“These are false accusations and we will file the necessary legal action,” said Atty. Marie Glen Abraham, Montenegro's lawyer.

“Hindi ko alam kung saan nanggaling ‘yung mga statement na ‘yan. I really hope that Ms. Annabelle Rama will refrain from these false accusations against my client, specifically also against the investigating prosecutor and the whole office of the prosecutor’s office,” Abraham added.

Cristine Reyes said she is set to do another television series on ABS-CBN as she renewed her contract with the network on Tuesday.

Reyes said she is happy that the Kapamilya network is giving her another opportunity to grow as an actress.

"Super happy ako at gusto pa rin ako ng ABS-CBN sa kanila. And siyempre nakaka-flatter iyon dahil it means lang na gusto ka nila, dahil nagagampanan ko ang trabaho ko nang maayos, kasama ang bagong soap na gagawin ko," she said.

Angel Locsin and actor John Lloyd Cruz resumed shooting for their first movie after taking a break because of some script revisions.

While she cannot divulge details about their movie, Locsin described it as "different" and "very interesting."

"Close na close na nga kami ni JL. Super close na kami. Pero 'yung love scenes, hindi naman siya 'yung tipong nakakainis panoorin. Sakto lang naman po. First time namin pareho gagawin 'yung mga medyo maselang eksena dito sa pelikula," she said.

"Si John Lloyd nakatrabaho ko na sa 'Imortal' kaya kumportable na kami. 'Yun nga lang, iba 'yung character namin dito kaya kailangan pa namin kunin 'yung rhythm ng isa't isa. Pero dahil didiretso na 'yung shooting, madali na," the actress added.

Unang lumabas ang Vic-Pauleen affair sa kolum ni Ricky sa pahayagan ng Philippine Star. Gayunman, wala pa ring opisyal na pahayag ang dalawa tungkol sa nasabing isyu.

Bago pag-usapan ng apat ang isyu, pabirong bumungad si Joey na siya ang kakatawan na abogado ng kanyang kaibigang si Vic.

Ibinisto rin ng talent manager na mismong ang nanay ni Pauleen ang nagsabi sa kanya na nagpunta sa kanilang bahay si Vic.

Sa naturang talakayan, si Butch ang nagsilbing referee at tagausisa sa mga nangyari.

“Hindi mo ba hinadlangan?" tanong ni Butch kay Lolit.

“Hindi," mabilis na sagot ni Manay Lolit. “Honestly ang pinakagusto kong boyfriend ni Pauleen nung una si (Valenzuela Mayor) Sherwin Gatchalian. Kasi binata, saka hindi malayo ang edad. Sa akala ko bagay na bagay sa edad ni Pauleen."

Si Pauleen ay 23-anyos, habang 57-anyos naman si Vic.

“Hindi ko naman akalain na may pagnanasa pala siya kay Bossing, at si Bossing may pagnanasa kay Pauleen," patuloy ni Lolit.

Inamin niya na nailang siya nang una dahil kasama rin nina Vic at Pauleen sa Eat Bulaga si Pia Guanio na naging ex-girlfriend din ni Vic.

Gayunman, okey lang daw kay Manay Lolit kung lilitaw na totoo ang balitang nagmamahalan sina Vic at si Pauleen.

“Eh kung natatanggap ni Pia, natatanggap ni Pauleen okey lang. Kasalanan ba ni Bossing na ganun siya ka-attractive, ganun siya kaguwapo, ‘di ba," pahayag ni Lolit.

'Lalabas ang totoo' – Joey

Pagtiyak naman ni Joey, maayos ang samahan nila sa Eat Bulaga.

“Lalabas at lalabas ‘yan kung totoo di ba? Hindi natin maiiwasan ‘yan," ayon kay Joey na maya’t maya ay nagpapasok ng mga pabirong komento.

“Pero ang pag-ibig naman para sa lahat," dagdag niya. “Kung totoo man ‘yan, anong masama? Tayo nama’y isinilang ang aspirations natin isa sa pinakadakilang mithiin natin ay pag-ibig."

Nang hingan kung ano ang maipapayo sa kaibigang si Vic, sinabi ni Joey na siya talaga ang humihingi ng payo kay Bossing kung papaano umano maging “lovable" at “attractive" sa mga batang babae.

Marian Rivera on Ducati motorcycle gift to boyfriend Dingdong Dantes

Nagiging yearly na ang pagbibigay ng Christmas party ni Marian Rivera para sa entertainment press, katuwang ang talent arm ng kanyang manager na si Popoy Caritativo, ang Luminary Talents.

Bukod kay Marian, kasama rin sa mga mina-manage ng Luminary sina Dennis Trillo, Martin Escudero, Jestoni Alarcon, AJ Dee, at Janice de Belen.

Ginanap ang Christmas party para sa press ni Marian at ng Luminary nitong December 8, sa Annabel's restaurant sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

2011 FOR MARIAN. Sa pakikipag-usap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Marian, ipinalarawan namin sa kanya ang matatapos na taon, ang 2011.

Hindi naman kaila na marami ring pinagdaanang mga kontrobersiya at intriga ngayong taon si Marian. Pero lahat ng ito ay nalampasan at napagtagumpayan niya.

Ngunit para sa tinaguriang primetime queen ng GMA-7, "masaya" ang 2011.

"Masaya! Masaya talaga," nakangiti niyang sabi.

"Masaya talaga, e.

"Ang Amaya, naging successful.

"Kami naman ni Dong [Dingdong Dantes, her boyfriend], mas naging maayos.

"Ang pamilya ko, mas naging...alam mo yun, happy.

"Wala, e, masaya.

"So, walang reason para hindi ka magsaya at mag-share ng blessing mo talaga."

Paano naman niya aabangan ang 2012?

"Ay, masayang-masaya!" bulalas ng aktres.

"Bilang alam ko na marami akong pelikulang gagawin. Tapos yung sitcom ko pa.

"And by May yata, sisimulan ko na ulit ang bago kong soap."

EXPENSIVE GIFT FOR DINGDONG. Nasulat sa PEP Alerts na naibigay na ni Marian ang advance Christmas gift niya sa kanyang boyfriend na si Dingdong Dantes.

Ang iniregalo ni Marian kay Dingdong ay isang Ducati motorcycle, na nagkakahalaga ng hindi bababa sa P1 million.

Sa hiwalay na panayam kay Dingdong ay sinabi nitong maging siya ay nagulat sa iniregalo sa kanya ng girlfriend.

Pero bakit nga ba isang mamahaling motorsiklo ang naisipang iregalo ni Marian kay Dingdong? At bakit tila inunahan niya ang nobyo sa pagbibigay ng regalo.

Paliwanag ni Marian, "Actually, wala sa mahal 'yan. Kung anong bagay 'yan.

"Kasi si Dong, hindi mo maitutumbas kahit gaano pa kamahal or ka-cheap na regalo.

"Para kasi sa akin, priceless si Dong.

"Deserve niya 'yan dahil sa pagmamahal na ibinibigay niya sa akin, kulang pa 'yang materyal na bagay na 'yan."

Hindi na matandaan ni Marian ang eksaktong oras kung kailan niya ibinigay kay Dingdong ang motorsiklo.

Aniya, "Basta ang alam ko, sinorpresa ko siya diyan.

"Kasi alam ko, 'yan talaga ang gusto niyang bilhin.

"At bilang magki-Christmas na, siguro para hindi na rin ako mag-isip, binili ko na lang."

May iba pa ba siyang gift kay Dingdong sa mismong araw ng Pasko?

"Meron naman," sagot ni Marian.

Meron pa rin bukod sa motorsiklo?

"Card! Ano pa ba? Card, di ba?" natatawang sabi niya.

Milyon ang sinasabing halaga ng Ducati. Pero idiniin ni Marian na huwag na ang presyo ng regalo niya ang pag-usapan.

Ayon kay Marian, "Kaya nga sabi ko, huwag na nating pag-usapan ang price.

"Cheap man 'yan or mahal, wala lang yun dahil si Dong, para sa akin, priceless."

Hindi kaya makaramdam naman ng pressure si Dingdong sa ireregalo nito sa kanya dahil sa naging regalo niya?

Pero ayon kay Marian, "Hindi...alam naman ni Dong at alam naman ng mga taong malapit sa buhay ko na hindi naman ako mahirap i-please.

"Kahit ano, puwede sa akin."

Ano ang naging reaksiyon ni Dingdong nang makita nito ang regalo niya?

"Mangiyak-ngiyak siya!" ang natatawang sabi ni Marian.

Dahil nalaman niya kung ano ang gusto ni Dingdong, siya ba ay tinatanong din ng aktor kung anong regalo ang gusto niya ngayong Pasko?

Sabi ni Marian, "Kilala niya 'ko, e.

"Kahit hindi niya ako tanungin, alam niya naman ang mga okay sa hindi sa akin.

"At tulad ng sabi niya, at alam kong sinabi ko yun sa kanya, hindi ako mahirap i-please.

"Kahit ano pa 'yan, madali akong pasayahin."

NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN. Sinabi rin ni Marian na wala siyang expectation na dapat ay magtapatan sila ng regalo sa isa't isa.

"Wala, walang ganoon.

"Dahil kahit ako rin naman sa family ko, kahit anong ibinibigay ko, wala akong ine-expect.

"Basta happy lang ako na masaya sila kung ano ang binigay ko."

Talagang generous lang siya?

"Wala, e... The reason kung bakit ako nagtatrabaho, siguro para sa sarili ko, makaipon ako, maging okay ako.

"At mapasaya ko at ma-extend ko kung ano ang meron ako sa pamilya ko, mga mahal ko sa buhay, bakit naman hindi?

"At saka sa inyo [press]. Ganoon ako, e."

Ano naman ang Christmas wish niya?

"Ang wish kasi, hindi nauubos sa isang tao.

"Pero siguro ako, bilang ako, makukuntento ako kung ano ang meron ako.

"At siguro, ang isa pa, palalawakin ko na maging masaya lang ako palagi.

"Yun ang pinakamagandang remedy sa lahat ng nangyayari," saad ni Marian.

Ano naman ang plano nila ni Dingdong ngayong Kapaskuhan?

"Wala, ganoon pa rin.

"Siguro, sa 24, sa kanila. Sa 25, sa Cavite [kina Marian].

"Ganoon naman kami palagi."

Wala silang planong mag-out of town ngayon?

"Hindi pa napag-uusapan," sagot ni Marian.

"Ang Amaya kasi, babalik ako ng taping ng Deceember 27, 28, 29.

"Tapos ang balik ko, January 2."

PREDICTIONS. Masasabing masuwerte sina Marian at Dingdong sa isa't isa.

Kahit gaano sila kaabala, nakakapaglaan pa rin sila ng oras para sa isa't isa hindi kagaya ng ibang showbiz couples.

Pero ayon kay Marian, "Mahirap i-compare ang relationship namin sa iba.

"Pero, napag-uusapan namin 'yan at nasasabi namin sa sarili namin na sobrang thankful kami kung ano man ang meron kaming dalawa."

Hindi rin nagpapaapekto sina Marian at Dingdong sa mga hula-hula.

Nandiyan nga ang hula na sa taong 2012 ay maghihiwalay na raw sila.

Pero nakangiting sabi ni Marian, "Marimar pa lang, hinuhulaan na ako.

"Alam n'yo, hindi ko rin naman masisisi kung ganyan ang mga hula sa amin, nirerespeto ko sila.

"Pero ang masasabi ko lang, walang sinuman ang makakatalo sa prayers. Walang sinuman talaga."

WEDDING BELLS. Baka naman kasi wedding na ang magaganap ng 2012?

"Well, mahirap, e.

"Mahirap kasing pangunahan ang mga bagay-bagay.

"Feeling ko nga, kaya hindi natutuloy, tanong kayo nang tanong.

Nauudlot, e!" natatawa niyang sabi.

Nung magsimula ang 2011 ay may mga naglabasang balita na kesyo ikakasal sila bago magtapos ang taon.

Kaya tinanong namin si Marian kung hindi lang ba yun natuloy o wala pa talaga silang plano?

"Wala. Hindi pa namin napag-uusapan.

"Siguro ano rin, nagpi-pray ako kung ready ako.

"Parang sa panahon kasi ngayon, marami pa akong gustong gawin," sabi niya.

Ayaw pa ba niya kung saka-sakaling yayain na siya ni Dingdong na magpakasal?

"Hindi sa ayaw... Pero siguro, darating ang mga bagay sa ganyan sa mga tamang panahon.

"Kasi mahirap i-rush, e. Mahirap magkamali.

"Dahil ang pag-ibig at pagpapakasal, hindi naman basta-basta 'yan.

"At gusto ko, kapag nagpakasal ako, forever.

"Kahit anong mangyari, lahat, gusto ko nandoon na.

"Ayoko yung atrasan."
