Sarah Geronimo wears daring dress at 'Won't Last A Day Without You' premiere

Sarah Geronimo's daring dress grabbed the attention of fans and moviegoers during the premiere of her latest film, "'Won't Last A Day Without You."

Geronimo, who has been known to be conservative, wore a short spaghetti strap dark blue sequin dress with a see-through mid-calf hemline during the movie premiere on Wednesday at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

She walked on the red carpet with her leading man, Gerald Anderson.

"We're very happy and overwhelmed kami sa suporta ng mga tao. So maraming salamat po. Sana ganito rin bukas," Geronimo said.

"Para po sa kanila (fans) itong pelikulang ito. Sana po maibigan nila. Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal at sa suporta," she added.

"'Won't Last A Day Without You" has been given a "General Patronage" rating by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.

It was graded "B" by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

Judy Ann Santos open to do TV in 2012

Judy Ann Santos said she is open to do another television series by next year.

In an interview with “Kris TV” on Wednesday, Santos said that she will be more than willing to accept another television project, as long as it will not be in conflict with her schedule as a full-time mom.

“Siguro next year [pwede na ako gumawa ulit ng television series],” she told the morning show’s host, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.

“I am open naman sa lahat eh. It’s just that kailangan ko lang din ilatag din sa producers na, ‘Sorry po pero ito po ‘yung working hours ko’,” she added.

When asked to further elaborate on her preferred working hours, Santos replied, “Siguro at least, cut-off ng 12 midnight.”

She explained, “Baka sabihin O.A. (over acting) naman [na 12 a.m. ang cut-off], hindi po, kasi gumigising po ako ng 4 a.m., 5 a.m. kasi siyempre ang pasok kasi ni Yohan sinusundo siya ng service ng 7 a.m., so hangga’t maari gusto ko gising ako habang kumakain siya or andun ako habang nagpe-prepare siya.”

According to Santos, her top priority at the moment is her family, and that she wants to spend as much time possible with them, especially with her kids.

She stressed, “Hindi naman sa nagpapaka-primadonna [ako] or what. Parang feeling ko naman since 8 years old I’ve been working until wee hours of the morning. Itong time na ‘to [sana ma-spend ko naman sa family ko].”

Santos’ last television series was ABS-CBN’s “Habang May Buhay” in 2010, wherein she worked with Gina Alajar, Derek Ramsay and Joem Bascon.

Currently, she is the host of the ABS-CBN cooking show “Junior Master Chef: Pinoy Edition.”

Anne Curtis sign up a 2-year contract with ABS-CBN

Anne Curtis shot down rumors that she will be jumping ship as she inked a contract with ABS-CBN on Tuesday.

Curtis said this is her first two-year contract with the network.

"It always makes me so happy whenever I sign a contract because it goes to show how long your working relationship will be with the company. And I have to say, this is my first two-year contract with ABS-CBN," she said.

The actress added that she will remain a Kapamilya as long as “Showtime” is on air.

"I know that there's a lot of controversies, but I'll be here for two more years. I've always said naman na basta nandiyan ang 'Showtime,' I will stay with ABS-CBN," she said.

Curtis was accompanied by her father, who came all the way from Pampanga.

"It makes me really happy to see my dad proud kasi he sees all my achievements in the 14 years of my stay in the industry," the actress said.

Meanwhile, Curtis confirmed that her first major solo concert is already in the works.

"Abangan niyo na lang ang announcement coming soon. Last Sunday, I was supposed to announce it in ‘ASAP’ kaya lang dahil may voice problem ako, na-move," she said.

"Then next week, we'll be in Dubai for ‘Showtime’ so I have to wait again when to announce it at either ‘Showtime’ or ‘ASAP.’ I think may hints na kasi may mga nagtwi-tweet na sa akin na mga fans. I think it is not a big secret na," she added.

Joey de Leon tells Toni: I'm not mad at you

Joey de Leon made it clear that he is not mad at former "Eat Bulaga" co-host Toni Gonzaga, who left the noontime show several years ago to transfer to ABS-CBN.

Gonzaga, one of the hosts of "The Buzz," turned emotional when de Leon gave her a bag containing an "Eat Bulaga" coffee table book.

The said book featured an old photo of Gonzaga with the hosts of the show.

"Dati galit ka sa akin eh. Ngayon di ka na galit sa akin," she told de Leon, who guested for the first time on "The Buzz" on Sunday.

De Leon replied, "Hindi, ano ka ba. Di lang tayo nagkaintindihan. Hindi ako nagagalit sa'yo noon. Binibiro lang kita."

"O tignan mo naman, nung umalis ka umasenso ka," he added, drawing laughter from the audience. "Kung di ka lumayas sa 'Bulaga' edi baka sa EB Babes ka na."

The veteran comedian admitted, though, that they were sad when Gonzaga left the show.

"Siyempre nalungkot kami nung nawala ka. Pero ngayon, napapanood pa rin naman kita eh," he said.

Gonzaga is currently part of "Happy Yipee Yehey," ABS-CBN's noontime variety show.

She said she is thankful for having the opportunity to learn from de Leon, who is considered one of the country's top hosts.

"Mabibilang ko ang sarili ko sa isa sa mga pinakamaswerte sa henerasyon na ito na nakatrabaho ang isang Joey de Leon," she said.

Favorites

De Leon admitted that Gonzaga is currently his favorite personality on television.

This puts Gonzaga alongside Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, who is de Leon' favorite movie actress.

"Kayo ni Sarah, parang kayong dalawa favorite ko eh. Ikaw sa TV, siya sa pelikula," he said.

De Leon is part of Geronimo's upcoming film, "Won't Last A Day Without You."

It will hit theaters nationwide on November 30.

Hosting tips

De Leon also took the opportunity to give tips to both aspiring and current television hosts.

"Baka may mga nakikinig diyan. 'Pag nagho-host kayo, makinig kayo sa co-host niyo," he said.

"'Yung iba kasi solo lang, sarili lang [ang] iniintindi. Maganda ba ako sa TV, anong anggulo. Kailangan makikinig ka kasi mawawala ka sa takbo ng usapan," he added.

Asked if he does this to co-hosts Tito and Vic Sotto, de Leon said, "Iba na kami. Tinginan lang. Di na kailangan mag-usap."

"Close ako sa show. 'Yan ang wag kang aasa [sa co-hosts]. Kahit absent ang lahat ng co-host, dapat kaya mo mag-isa."

The veteran comedian then poked fun at Gonzaga's co-host on "Happy Yipee Yehey," singer Rico J. Puno.

"Alam mo kung bakit ako naiiyak [sa pag-iwan mo sa amin]? Biruin mo, kasama mo Tito Vic and Joey. Tapos kasama mo ngayon si Rico Puno? Nasaan ang kahihiyan mo?" he said.

He quickly added, "Hindi, joke lang 'yun. Pareng Rico, hindi, hindi. Mabait 'yun."

KC Concepcion confirms break-up with Piolo

KC Concepcion sheds tears after admitting on "The Buzz" that she and her boyfriend, actor Piolo Pascual, have already called it quits.

MANILA, Philippines – After evading the media for so long, television host KC Concepcion finally admitted that she and her boyfriend, actor Piolo Pascual, have called it quits.

In a taped interview with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday, Concepcion tearfully admitted that she and Pascual have parted ways.

Asked what was the reason for their break-up, Concepcion meaningfully said: “May mga hinahanap ako na napaka-basic lang na hanapin ng isang babae sa isang boyfriend, sa isang lalaki. Ayaw ko na siguro pumunta sa details kasi parang ayaw kong siraan siya.”

Concepcion said she came to a point when she felt that she has already given too much and she got tired of always trying to understand Pascual.

Concepcion, however, noted that it’s also partly her fault because she badly wanted their relationship to work.

“Kasalanan ko naman ito sa sarili ko, Tito Boy, kasi ginusto ko naman ‘to ‘di ba. Gusto ko ‘to eh ‘di ba? Kasalanan ko ito kasi pinaglaban ko pa eh. Ginusto ko eh. At saka sobra sobra talaga akong nagtiwala sobra,” she said while crying.

Concepcion said she learned a lot about herself in her relationship with Pascual, but she has come to realize that it won't just work anymore even if she has given him several chances to make things right.

She admitted she is mad right now but she refused to answer whether there is a third party.

Asked what she thinks is her shortcoming in their relationship, Concepcion said: “Masakit mang sabihin, hindi ako yung...siguro nag-fail din ako, dahil hindi ako yung kailangan niya sa buhay niya or hindi ako yung hinahanap niya sa buhay niya. And hindi ko mabigay sa kanya yung kailangan niya.”

While she declined to give a message to Pascual, Concepcion said she only has one wish, which is to find her one true love.

Meanwhile, Megastar Sharon Cuneta said she believes her daughter will get through her problem.

Cuneta also vowed to be by her daughter’s side every step of the way.

“It's not my relationship, they're adults na so they know how to handle what's coming their way. She's a strong girl, I think she knows now about the people she should value more now. If anything, this made KC and I closer than ever,” she told ABS-CBN News.

Kristine reveals name of her baby girl

Kristine Hermosa has revealed the name of her soon-to-be-born baby girl.

In a taped interview with "The Buzz" aired on Sunday, Hermosa said she and husband Oyo Sotto have chosen "Ondrea Bliss" as their baby's name.

ABS-CBN's Star Studio magazine on Saturday held a baby shower for Hermosa, who is set to give birth in December (cesarean section) or January (normal delivery).

"Naghanap kami. Finally, God spoke to us na eto na 'yung ipangalan ninyo. Ibig sabihin ng Ondrea, strong and courageous. And bliss, ibig sabihin naman unmeasurable joy," Hermosa explained.

"So 'yun 'yung pareho naming naramdaman (Oyo). And gusto naming maging strong and courageous din si Ondrea," she added.

Hermosa said she is happy that Quiel, their adopted son, is looking forward to meeting Ondrea Bliss.

"Three years old na si Quiel. Kuya na siya, alam naman na niya na 'I'm a Kuya,' gumaganun," she said.

Hermosa's and Sotto's relatives also shared their excitement over the newest addition to their family.

"Meron na kaming baby na mahihiram," said Kathleen, Hermosa's sister.

"Excited ako kasi di ba I also gave birth na girl din. Excited na ako na magiging barkada na sila," said Danica, Sotto's sister.

"Pinagdadasal talaga nila 'yan eh. Andaming boys na pamangkin," said Ciara, Sotto's cousin.

"I'm sure magiging super beautiful ang baby dahil maraming pagmamanahan na mga magaganda at gwapo. No doubt," said Dina Bonnevie, Sotto's mother.

Pregnancy

Hermosa shared that she still makes it a point to stay active, but admitted that she now gets tired easily.

"Mabilis na lang talaga mapagod. 'Yung fatigue kasi. Pero okay naman," she said.

"Wala naman akong morning sickness so thank God," she added.

Sotto, for his part, said about his pregnant wife: "Mahirap matulog si Tin ngayon, unlike 'yung mga unang buwan talagang iba 'yung tulog niya. Tapos maya't maya gising siya nang gising."

The couple added that Ondrea Bliss seems to have inherited a number of physical features from Hermosa.

"Ang alam ko may cleft chin siya," Hermosa said.

"'Yung cheeks nakita namin ang taba talaga. Chaka 'yung fingers niya mahaba, parang nagmana kay Tin. Buti na lang kay Tin nagmana," Sotto said.

Meanwhile, Sotto said his life has changed when he started his own family.

"Dati sarili ko lang iniisip ko, laging ako. Ngayon, kailangan 'yung kinikita ko sa kanya (Hermosa) napupunta. Responsibilities ko lumalawak at mas dumadami. Hindi 'yung simpleng kailangan mong gumising, tumayo at magtrabaho. Ngayon, pagkagising ko kailangan ko sila i-check bago ako umalis, bago ako mag-taping," he said.

"Maya't maya magche-check ka kung okay ba sila."

He then had this message for Hermosa and their baby.

"Si Tin alam naman niyang lagi akong andiyan para sa kanya. Kapag manganganak na siya, kahit kalagitnaan ng taping, bibiyahe talaga ako. Magkalimutan na ng trabaho, 'wag lang ang baby ko," he ended.

Angeline Quinto shoots music video with SamMmilby

Angeline Quinto cannot help but smile when she talked about her newest music video, which she shot with hunk actor Sam Milby.

"Ito pong ginagawa namin ni Sam na music video po, ito po 'yung isa sa bago kong kanta na Christmas song. Kasama po siya sa album ng Star Records," she said in an interview aired on Cinema One's "Cinema News" on Sunday.

Quinto said she was not expecting Milby to be cheerful during the shoot because she initially thought the actor was the serious type.

"Nakakatuwa po kasi ito ang unang beses na nakatrabaho ko si Sam. Hindi ko in-expect na makulit pala siya katrabaho kasi noong una akala ko medyo seryoso siya eh," she said.

Aside from her newest music video, Quinto also talked about her movie with showbiz crush Coco Martin.

"'Yung movie po namin ni Coco hanggang ngayon po eh ginagawa pa rin pero sobrang masaya po ako kasi unti-unti po akong maraming natututunan sa bawat shooting namin. Natutuwa ako kasi alam ko sa sarili ko na naibibigay ko ang best ko," she said.

She also clarified her statement on "The Buzz" last week that she is courting Martin.

"Hindi naman po. Pero kasi pinapakita ko lang naman po ang talagang nararamdaman ko para sa tao. Hindi naman po talagang nanliligaw, basta inaamin ko naman po talaga na may paghanga ako," she said.

Anne Curtis not suprised by success of Vice Ganda's film

Anne Curtis is not surprised with the huge success of her friend Vice Ganda's film "Praybeyt Benjamin," which is now the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.

In an interview during the press launch for her newest endorsement Primadonna, Curtis noted that "Praybeyt Benjamin" is a family film while her film "No Other Woman" targets mature moviegoers.

“Actually, hindi na ako na surprise because when you think about it, 'Praybeyt Benjamin' is actually a family movie while 'No Other Woman' doesn’t really reach out to kids. It’s really for a more mature audience that’s why we were Rated 13. So, 'Praybeyt Benjamin' it’s really for the whole family. So I guess hindi siya unexpected,” Curtis said.

Curtis' film "No Other Woman" topped the box office this year, until it was unseated by "Praybeyt Benjamin."

But what is important, Curtis said, is the fact that a lot of Filipino moviegoers are embracing the sexy-drama type of film.

“I’m glad that it can happen that way and I’m also glad that the Filipino audience are now more open to movies as daring as 'No Other Woman.' It goes to show that the audience do look for films that are not only romantic-comedy or for family. There’s still that market who looks for sexy drama, which is good, which I like,” Curtis added.

With the success of her film, career and TV show, Curtis said she has nothing more to ask for.

“This is the most amazing year of my life. 2011 was a rollercoaster ride scary and yet most thrilling year of my life. So many things happening, one after the other. I don’t expect anything because if you don't expect anything so the more you appreciate blessings that come to your life,” she said.

With all the blessings, Curtis said she would rather not ask anything more this Christmas.

“Wala na akong mahihiling pa. Parang napaka-selfish ko na if I keep asking for anything else pa. No expectations but it’s nice to hope,” she said.

Sarah Geronimo and Gerald got starstruck with Joey de Leon

Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo and actor Gerald Anderson admitted they were starstruck when they met veteran comedian Joey de Leon for the first time.

De Leon worked with Anderson and Geronimo in the upcoming film "Won't Last A Day Without You."

"Siyempre noong nabasa ko ang script na ang gusto nila ay si Tito Joey natuwa talaga ako at sana matuloy talaga. Pero may daily show siya na Eat Bulaga tapos sa kabila medyo di na kami medyo umasa pero fortunately napapayag si Tito Joey," Geronimo said in a taped interview aired on morning show "KrisTV" on Friday.

"Si Tito Joey napakasaya napaka-enjoy hindi niya ipaparamdam sa iyo na intimidating siya, daddy talaga sa set, palabiro at fatherly niya sa lahat. Tito Joey, maraming salamat for accepting this project. It's an honor na makatrabaho po kayo at maging tatay ko kayo kahit sa pelikula lang. Maraming salamat Tito Joey sa kindness sa patience at sa joy na naibabahagi niyo sa set namin," she said.

Anderson, who also appeared on KrisTV, said he couldn't believe he was acting opposite de Leon.

De Leon, who thanked the young stars for their good words, also gave his unsolicited advice.

"Mahalin mo ang work mo, mag-ingat ka sa health mo, kalkulahin mo kung kaya ng katawan mo," de Leon said.

"Won't Last A Day Without You," under Star Cinema, will hit theaters nationwide on November 30 (Wednesday).

Ara Mina wants to settle down

Ara Mina said she hopes to settle down in three years' time.

Mina, who has been working in show business for almost two decades, believes that she is ready to have her own family.

"Feeling ko kapag nag-asawa na ako fulfilled ako kasi nagawa ko na lahat ng gusto kong gawin. Kasi kung halimbawa nag-asawa ako tapos ay hindi naman ako nakabili ng sarili kong bahay, 'yun bang marami kang regrets," she said as she showed her multi-million peso house to "Kris TV" host Kris Aquino on Thursday.

"I have plans pero siyempre alangan namang ikaw ang mag-propose sa lalaki na 'Hoy, buntisin mo ako o pakasal na tayo.'

"Siguro darating din tayo diyan, kailangan ba ako mag-35 (years old)," she added.

Mina, 32, said she is currently enjoying her relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend.

Karylle stays mum on lovelife

Karylle has refused to reveal anything about her relationship with Spongecola's front man, Yael Yuzon.

When asked during an interview with ABS-CBN's "Bandila" on Wednesday whether Yuzon is her boyfriend, Karylle replied, “Ayaw ko kasi umamin or anything.”

She explained, “I think right now I’ve learned from over-sharing in the past, and that brought me to a place that wasn’t very kind. It was very hard for me.”

To give the public an idea about the status of her relationship with Yuzon, Karylle opted to sing about how she feels for Yuzon.

She sang a line from the song "Basically," which is included in her album "Roadtrip."

"You sat me down and patted my head. Strange, but sweet, basically that’s you and me."

Relationship with Dingdong Dantes

Before Yuzon, Karylle’s last known romantic relationship was with actor Dingdong Dantes.

In 2008, Karylle and Dantes ended their 3-year long relationship. It ended reportedly because of Dantes' brewing romance with actress Marian Rivera, who is now his girlfriend.

Karylle admitted that she never thought she could ever recover from that painful heartbreak.

Fortunately, she said, she was surrounded by a lot of people who helped her bounce back.

“I was thankful na I was surrounded by so much people who loved me and I think grace of god also just pulled me through,” she said.

Now, a few years after their parting, Karylle said that she is still looking forward to be friends with her ex-boyfriend.

“I would like to think that we’re on our way there,” she claimed.

“Siguro, one day that will happen.”

Iza Calzado to appear in 'The Kitchen Musicale'

Iza Calzado is set to join her fellow Filipino celebrities, Christian Bautista and Karylle, in the hit Asian television series “The Kitchen Musicale.”

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Karylle revealed that Calzado will be taking on a special part on the musical show sometime soon.

“Very, very soon meron siyang surprise guesting in one of the upcoming episodes, si Ms. Iza Calzado,” she said.

Meanwhile, the cast of “The Kitchen Musicale” will be going on an Asian tour to promote the show.

Karylle said she and some of her fellow “The Kitchen Musicale” stars will be going to Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines next week.

She said, “We’re going to fly there (Indonesia and Malaysia) this coming Monday to Thursday. And then siyempre, last stop ang Philippines dahil dito ‘yung magaganap na gala dinner for 'The Kitchen Musicale.'"

Due to the public’s positive response to their show's first episodes, on the other hand, Karylle said that it is likely for their television series to have a second season.

“It looks like with all the response mukhang doon papunta,” she said.

“May mga bali-balita na akong naririnig, so sana tuloy 'yung pagsuporta para tuloy-tuloy tayo hanggang season 2.”

Anne Denies Rivalry with Vice Ganda

Anne Curtis has shrugged off the issue of competition raised between her and her "Showtime" co-host Vice Ganda.

Curtis dismissed the idea that Vice is her rival now that “Praybeyt Benjamin” has come close to replacing her film “No Other Woman” as the top-grossing local movie of all time after the comedian's movie hit the P200-million mark in its 2nd week.

“There’s no issue [between us] at all,” she told Push.com.ph.

According to Curtis, she is happy for the success of Vice's latest movie.

She added that she's proud of the outstanding accomplishment made by her good friend, whom she also considers as her "twin sister."

Instead of dwelling on the competition, Curtis opted to look at the issue in a positive way.

She explained, “I guess the positive thing about this is nabuhay ang industriyang pelikulang Pilipino. I was reading an article in [a broadsheet], how they said it’s so refreshing to see two different films of different genres making it big.”

Curtis also revealed that she will be renewing her contract with ABS-CBN.

She also said that she is set to do a television series in 2012.
