Richard, Lucy plan second baby

Richard Gomez revealed on Tuesday that he and his wife, Leyte’s 4th District Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez, are actually planning to have a second baby soon.
When asked during an interview with dzMM radio program “Todo-todo Walang Preno” on Tuesday whether they want to have another child, he replied, “We’ve been working on our second baby.”
According to Richard, it was actually his wife’s dream to have a big family.
“Si Lucy, wants to have about five children. Ako nga sabi ko nga mabigyan lang kami ng three masaya na ako, pero ang laki na ng anak namin iisa pa lang,” he said.
Richard to pursue politics?
After his disqualification as a congressional candidate in 2010, Richard said he is not yet sure if he intends to run again in the 2013 elections.
Right now, Richard said, he is focused on supporting his wife’s political endeavors, especially now that Lucy is eyeing for re-election.
Richard stressed he is very proud of Lucy for doing a very good job as their district’s representative.
“I’m very happy dahil napakaganda ng performance ni Lucy,” he said.
“When Lucy sat down as congresswoman, ang rating ng distrito namin out of 16 districts sa buong region No. 12 kami in terms of the structure. Sa pagtapos ng programa laging nahuhuli. Nung umupo si Lucy, she was able to turn around our district. [After] a year and a half, we are now No. 1 in our district in terms of project implementation,” he added.
‘Walang Hanggan’
With his political aspirations taking a back seat, Richard said his focus now is on his craft as an actor.
Richard recently returned to the Kapamilya network.
He will be a part of ABS-CBN’s upcoming television series entitled “Walang Hanggan”.
Extending his thrill over this new project, he said, “I’m very happy really. Pagbalik ko dito, ABS-CBN gave me a wonderful project.”
“Kasama ko mga malalaking artista. Siyempre we have veteran superstars like Susan Roces, Ms. Helen Gamboa and Eddie Gutierrez,” he added.
“Kasama [rin] natin mga matinee idols, mga pogi, mga sikat, ‘yan sina Coco Martin, Paulo Avelino. ‘Yung magaganda sina Julia Montes and Melissa Ricks.”
Working with Dawn Zulueta
In this new television project, Richard will also be working with his former girlfriend, actress Dawn Zulueta.
Asked whether their past has stood in the way of their working relationship, Richard said he and Zulueta didn’t actually have any problem working together since they are currently good friends.
“Alam mo si Dawn Zulueta although naging mag-boyfriend-girlfriend kami for two years... We’ve remained friends,” he said.
“Ngayon, napakaganda na ng relationship namin,” he added.
According to Richard, “Walang Hanggan” is set to premiere on ABS-CBN channel 2 on January 16.
