Christine Bersola-Babao, the wife of broadcaster Julius Babao, filed an estafa complaint against a web development company and its owner.
She lodged a complaint against Michael Lu, alias Lu Chieh-Ying/Michael L. Perez, and his company, Kai-Zen Solutions, Co., before the National Bureau of Investigation on Monday.
Bersola-Babao accused Lu and his company, who created her website, www.parentin.tv, of duping her when she discovered that Lu has been selling the dedicated server to host the websites of 7 other companies.
She said the amount she paid them to use the dedicated server is good for one year.
After discovering the alleged deceit, Bersola-Babao said she asked Lu to give back her money, but he suddenly stopped all communications with her.
She said she also discovered that Lu has a pending case before a Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
She said she hopes that her complaint will serve as warning to the public who might get victimized by Lu and his company.
