Four months after she was hailed as the first “Star Power” grand winner, singer Angeline Quinto wowed the crowd as she held her first sold out solo concert last Friday.
The SM North EDSA Skydome was filled with Quinto’s fans, friends and family who all wanted to witness her singing prowess.
Celebrities including “Star Power” finalists Akiko and K-La were also spotted at the event.
“Ate Angeline, sobrang congrats talaga. Alam namin talaga na sobrang masaya ka ngayon. Nandito pa rin kami para sayo,” Akiko said.
Also there was international singing sensation Charice’s mom, Raquel.
“Ang message ko sa kanya, yung message ko kay Charice, yun na rin ang message ko sa kanya. Always [keep your feet] on the ground. Huwag lalaki ang ulo. Dapat yung mga dating tao na tumulong sa kanya balikan niya iyon dahil iyon din ang mag-aangat ng mag-aangat sa kanya,” she said.
Among Quinto’s guests were Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, Richard Poon and Coco Martin.
Quinto also had a special production number with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, whom she considers her idol.
“Siyempre isang karangalan po iyon sa akin. Siyempre idolo ko yon eh. Bata pa lang ako idolo ko na si Ms. Regine tapos siya pa ang nagsabi sa akin na next superstar. Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam po at wala akong masabi kundi thank you talaga,” Quinto said.
According to Quinto, Velasquez also gave her a pair of earrings during their song rehearsals.
