Singer-host Nikki Gil is excited about her upcoming project, a dance musical titled "Sweet Charity."
In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon," Gil said the show is for all people who like dancing and a heartwarming story.
"I would like to invite you guys to catch "Sweet Charity". If you are a fan of dancing as I am, if you are a fan of heartwarming and touching stories, magkita tayo," Gil said.
A critically-acclaimed Broadway dance comedy musical, "Sweet Charity" is about a dancer who always falls for the wrong man.
In the show, Gil will play the lead character of Charity who ends up always being dumped and used by undeserving men. She keeps on hoping for true love, though.
According to Gil, "Sweet Charity" will go onstage beginning August 5 at RCBC Plaza in Makati City. It is produced by 9 Works Theatrical, which also mounted "Rent" and "The Wedding Singer" last year.
Also part of the dance musical are stars Kris Lawrence and Ciara Sotto.
