Kampo ni Claudine Barretto, nagsalita na sa ‘walk-out’ issue

Nagsalita na ang kampo ni Claudine Barretto tungkol sa napaulat na pagwalk-out umano sa kanya ni Carmina Villaroel sa isang commercial na ginawa nila tatlong taon na ang nakararaan.

Sa press conference na dinaluhan ni showbiz reporter Lhar Santiago, nilinaw ni Shirley Kuan, manager ni Claudine, na “correction" at hindi “denial" ang ginagawa nila tungkol sa umano’y walk-out issue na isinulat ni Dolly Anne Carvajal at lumabas sa Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Sa Chika Minute ng GMA news 24 Oras nitong Huwebes, sinabi ni Shirley na noong una ay ayaw sana nilang patulan ang artikulo dahil wala naman itong katotohanan.

Ngunit hindi umano niya makuha ang logic sa sinabi ni Dolly Anne na hayaan na lamang mamatay ang isyu kung hindi naman talaga totoo. Iginiit ng talent manager na dapat lumabas ang katotohan.

Maging si Carmina ay nauna nang nagpahayag sa media na hindi totoo na nag-walk out siya sa commercial shoot nila ni Claudine.



Gaya ni Shirley, iginiit ni Carmina na “pagtutuwid" at hindi “pagtanggi" ang nais niyang mangyari sa isyu na hindi naman daw talaga nangyari.

Sinabi ni Shirley na maging ang ad agency ay sumulat na rin umano kay Dolly Anne para itanggi na may nangyaring walk-out sa commercial shoot.

Gayunman, nanindigan si Dolly Anne sa kanyang isinulat at ang impormasyon ay nanggaling daw mismo sa isang miyembro ng production team.

Sa panayam sa telepono ng GMA News, sinabi ng kolumnista na: “I remain unfazed. I write for my readers anyway and not to sell this or that product not to do image-building for a celeb. I would not do anything to taint the legacy may Mom left behind."

Si Dolly Anne ay anak ng namayapang batikang showbiz host na si Lourdes Jimenez , Carvajal, na mas kilala bilang si Inday “Ate Ludz" Badiday.

Puna ni Shirley, walang ginawang pagberipika si Dolly Anne sa mga sangkot na tao para alamin kung totoo ang nakuhang impormasyon na nangyayari tatlong taon na ang nakakaraan.

Idinagdag ng talent manager na hindi alam ni Claudine ang lumabas na isyu dahil nagbabakasyon ito sa Europe kasama ang mister na si Raymart Santiago.

Claudine and husband Raymart fly to Italy on January 24 for their second honeymoon

Sisimulan ng mag-asawang Claudine Barretto at Raymart Santiago ang 2012 sa pamamagitan ng kanilang second honeymoon.

Ayon kay Claudine, sa taped interview sa kanya ng Showbiz Central noong Linggo, January 8, "Aalis kami this January...this month, for Italy. Oo, on January 24.

"Pinlano namin iyon para makapag-bonding kami kasi hindi pa .. parang once pa lang kami nakapag-spend time na kaming dalawa lang, na yung 10-day trip namin in Bangkok.

"Lagi kasi kasama yung mga bata.

"Pati nung honeymoon namin sa Amanpulo, kasama pa rin namin si Sabina.

"So, parang ngayon, naisip namin na oras naman para yung kaming dalawa lang talaga.

"Para talagang makapag-bonding and to really spend time talaga together."

Bagamat nabalot ng kontrobersiya ang 2011 nina Claudine at Raymart, naging masaya naman daw ang holidays nilang mag-asawa.

"Siguro medyo...medyo masaya lang, masaya lang itong Pasko lalo na yung New Year.

"Kasi, kami lang nina Raymart at yung dalawang anak namin at yung staff namin.

"'Tapos sinelebrate namin yung sa farm namin sa Tanay and dun kami nag-fireworks.

"It was really magical for our children to see that.

"Talagang nakapag-bonding kami," kuwento pa ni Claudine.

Isa pang tinik na nabunot mula kay Claudine ay ang pagkakabati raw nila ni Gretchen Barretto na dumamay sa kanya sa kasagsagan ng kanyang mga problema.

"Sa dami ng pinagdaanan ko ng 2011, having my sister back in my life outweighed parang lahat ng mga pinagdaanan ko.

"Nung merong mga panahon na kinailangan ko last year yung mga kaibigan ko at wala sila...and that you really have to choose your friends very, very well."

Kaya naman pagkatapos ng mga personal na unos, busy na ulit si Claudine lalo na sa special appearance siya sa Tween Hearts na TV series ng GMA-7.

"Ang saya-saya nilang kasama! Masaya, masaya yung grupo.

"Parang natatandaan ko yung mga teenage years ko na ang kukulit, ang sarap!

"Parang iniisip ko, ang sarap ng ganung age ulit ano?

"Na wala pa talagang iniintindi, wala pa talagang masyadong ano...kundi yung sarili nila kasi wala pang pamilya.

"Wala pang mga anak and mababait yung mga bata and magagaling," saad ni Claudine tungkol sa young cast ng Tween Hearts.

Mas focused na si Claudine sa kanyang career ngayong 2012.

"Dalawa na ngayon yung manager ko, so maraming plano sa career ko this 2012, so I'm really excited."

Ang tinutukoy ni Claudine ay sina Shirley Kwan at Vic del Rosario ng Viva Entertainment.

"So, sa mga fans ko, sana maging mas excited na kayo sa maraming projects na gagawin natin sa taon na ito.

"Babawi tayo!" bulalas ni Claudine.

Claudine Barretto and Kyla banner Kapuso Night at Ati-Atihan Festival

One of the most anticipated Philippine festivals – Aklan’s Ati-Atihan – becomes all the more upbeat and vibrant this year as GMA Network brings some of its dazzling artists to this side of Panay Island for a night of celebration on January 9, Monday.

Celebrity couple Raymart and Claudine: We're still togethe

Celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto on Friday dispelled rumors that they have separated.

In the couple’s joint statement released through Barretto’s talent manager, Shirley Kuan, they said their marriage remains intact.

“We are still together, we have not separated, we love each other, and we both value and cherish our marriage and relationship. Any issues that we may have are private, and do not detract from, nor diminish, the strength of our marriage,” the statement said.

The couple asked the public to deal with their concerns “without the glare and glee of media speculation that only hurt us and those we love.”

Barretto and Santiago added that the recent controversy surrounding their separation has caused pain to their children.

“As concerned and devoted parents, we shall zealously protect their privacy, and their right to be untouched by malice and gossip. We plead with the public to respect their rights: They are innocent children unjustly harmed by the baseless gossip about us,” their statement said.

Last year, the couple was also involved in break-up talks, which were supposedly triggered by a rumor about Barretto’s alleged extramarital affair with Martin Castro.

On Thursday, Philippine Star columnist Ricky Lo claimed in his column “Funfare” that Barretto and Santiago have been living separately for 2 months.

The 2 have been married for 5 years.

A Pilipino Star Ngayon column by Nitz Miralles, meanwhile, alleged that Barretto was looking for a new house even before the recent controversy over the mysterious "disappearance" of the balance of their joint account.

The report said Barretto wanted a house near their conjugal property so she could continue to see their children, who were reportedly in the custody of Santiago.

Claudine Barreto celebrates birthday month in GMA-7’s Spooky Nights

Weekend TV viewers will see a different Claudine Barreto beginning July 2 in GMA-7’s Spooky Nights Presents: Nuno sa Feng Shui.

In celebration of her birthday month, the Kapuso actress stars in the horror-comedy series as Mila, a woman cursed by a “nuno" since childhood. She may have a beautiful face but her hips and legs are just unusually and distractingly huge.

Mila lives a pretty plain life – she works in a store, takes care of her bedridden father and believes she will be an old maid. Thus, she often daydreams and fascinates herself with Chinese astrology and charms.

Mila’s life only becomes really colorful when she meets Stephen Lee (TJ Trinidad), the only son of her Chinese employers. While Mila tries her best to attract Stephen, the latter does not even notice her or her clumsiness due to her enormous lower body.

One night, Mila gives food to an old beggar and shares with him her sentiments about her life and her disfigured body. The man then presents to her a magical charm bracelet with a love potion that she has to rub three times against Stephen’s right hand to make him fall for her.

After many funny and desperate attempts, Mila succeeds in using the charm bracelet and Stephen gets smitten by her. However, this also starts many complications in her life.

Stephen’s superstitious mother, Mrs. Lee (Tiya Pusit), does not approve of Mila, a non-Chinese girl who is their store helper and whose zodiac sign is incompatible with Stephen’s. It is also revealed that the old beggar Mila helped is actually the “nuno" who cursed her!

Is the “nuno" really helping Mila with her love problem? Or is he only scheming to take more from her? Will love be real love if only an enchanted bracelet made it happen?

Kasabay ng pagbabalik niya sa telebisyon, nilinaw ng Kapuso actress na si Claudine Barretto ang lumabas na isyu na sumailalim siya sa rehabilitation program kaya nawala siya ng ilang buwan.

Gretchen Barretto mends ties with Claudine Barretto

Celebrity sisters Gretchen and Claudine Barretto have ended their year-long feud.

This was confirmed by the Kapamilya star on Monday when she signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN.

"You know, Claudine is my sister. Imposibleng hindi kami magkakaayos. Maybe we had our differences but I never doubted our love for each other. I think it should end there,” said Gretchen.

Last year, the two siblings had a rift when Gretchen decided to continue working for the TV soap "Magkaribal" without Claudine.

Claudine was supposed to have been part of the said TV series but transferred to rival station GMA 7 in the same year.

Claudine Barretto remembers Rico Yan at AJ Perez' wake

Claudine Barretto on Sunday condoled with the family of AJ Perez who died in a vehicular accident last April 17.

During the young actor's wake at Christ the King Church, Barretto told reporters that she got the chance to work with Perez in the defunct television drama series "Iisa Pa Lamang."

Barretto said she also attended the wake to support Perez' girlfriend, Steph Ayson. She believes that Ayson is going through the same pain she felt when her ex-boyfriend Rico Yan passed away 9 years ago.

Yan, one of the most in-demand actors of his generation, suddenly died of acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis at the Dos Palmas Resort in Palawan on March 29, 2002.

"Siyempre alam naman natin na hindi madali ang pinagdadaanan ng bata. What happened to me is happening now to Steph," said Barretto, who is close to the Ayson family.

"Although 21 na ako noong nangyari sa akin 'yun, she's 17 pa lang. Mahirap kasi it had to happen to somebody who's close to me. So masakit para sa akin na makita 'yun, malungkot," she added.

Barretto said it may take some time before Ayson can cope with Perez' death, but assured that she will always be there to support her and her family.

"I told her na it's going to take a long time. It would hurt some more, lalo na kapag dumating ang libing. I told her also that Raymart and I will always be here for her and her family," she said.

"Nandito lang kami nagdadasal at the same time sa parents ni AJ, bilang ako parent din ay napakahirap. Nandito ako para makiramay," the actress added.

Perez, together with his father, 2 road managers, a driver and an event marshal met a vehicular accident last April 17 after doing a show in Dagupan, Pangasinan.

The 18-year-old actor's remains will be interred at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City on Tuesday, April 26.
