Charlene cuts hair, trends on Twitter

Television host Charlene Gonzales made it to the list of top local trending topics on the microblogging site Twitter on Sunday.

This after she surprised everyone with her short, pixie-cut hair.

Before she took a break from hosting entertainment show “The Buzz,” Gonzalez had long locks.

The TV host, however, denied that she is going though something in her personal life that’s why she decided to cut her hair.

“Eh kasi ‘di ba New Year so bagong look, bagong life. Happy life,” said Gonzales.

Gonzales said it has been her dream to sport a short hair.

“Noon ko pa talaga pinapangarap na magpa-[short] hair pero sabi ko there’s no better time to do it than now. It’s always been my dream. Dream will always be a dream if you don’t act upon it,” she said.

Meanwhile, a lot of netizens admired Gonzales’ new hairdo.

Twitter user @1D_Babe said Gonzales looked like American TV personality Kris Jenner with her new style.

As for Twitter user @evitagarcia, she said: “Wowowow! Ang HOT lang ni Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach with her short hair.... Walang kupas ang ganda!☺ #TheBuzz”

Twitter user @imCUTEdanu, on the other hand, said: “Charlene Gonzales maintains her good looks despite her age. She's so beautiful like an angel. :-)”

Charlene Gonzales' daughter joins 'Sound of Music'

Actress-host Charlene Gonzales shared her excitement as a mother now that her daughter, Atasha, is officially part of the cast of the "Sound of Music."

In a statement over The Buzz, Gonzales said she is worried about her daughter's audition.

"Pina-audition si Atasha sa isang play, Sound of Music. Noong Friday po yon pumasok kami sa auditon room. Di ko akalain na ganoon kabigat ang audition na yon... Habang kumakanta si Atashe, naninigas talaga ang batok ko. Sabi ko hindi ko yata maging stage mom. Sabi ng mother ko lumabas na lang ako ng room at naii-stress ako sa iyo," Charlene said.

She said she waited for 2 hours before finding out that her daughter had been accepted.

"Bumalik kami 2 hours later kasama si Atasha. Thanks God she's one of the children in Sound of Music," Gonzales said.

The "Sound of Music" will raise curtains this October at Resorts World.
