Toni denies break-up with Paul Soriano

Television host Toni Gonzaga shrugged off reports claiming that she and her boyfriend Paul Soriano have decided to part ways.

Last Sunday after Vic Sotto’s “The Buzz” guesting, the comedian asked Gonzaga if it is true that she and Soriano are now separated.

“Niloloko nga ako ni Bossing. Nagkita kami dito, sabi niya ‘Break na daw kayo.’ Sabi ko chismis, hindi joke lang ‘yon,” Gonzaga told “Showbiz News Ngayon.”

Reports say Gonzaga and Soriano cannot spend time together because of the former’s hectic work schedule.

“Eh baka siguro dahil hindi na nagkikita but hindi naman siguro magiging dahilan iyon. What’s important is your faith and your love for each other. ‘Yon naman siguro ang pinakamalaking pundasyon na panghahawakan ng isang relasyon. Hindi naman dahil sa hindi na kayo nagkikita. Hindi po totoo ‘yon,” she said.

Gonzaga emphasized that all is well in their relationship.

“Pag may time talaga, nagba-bond. Actually hindi lang naman bonding na kaming 2 lang. Bonding with the family,” she said.

Despite her success in the entertainment industry, actress-host Toni Gonzaga keeps her feet on the ground.

In an interview on "Kris TV" aired on Tuesday, Gonzaga told host Kris Aquino that her parents always remind her to stay simple and humble.

"Ang tinuturo sa akin ng mommy at ng daddy ko, ayaw niya kaming mataas ang way of living," she said.

"Sabi (nila) kahit mataas ang way of living eh pinapanatili pa rin ng daddy ko na simple pa rin at hindi extravagant.

Gonzaga then thanked her parents for being strict and conservative.

Toni Gonzaga wants to be a producer; renews contract with ABS-CBN

Toni Gonzaga may already be a successful actress and host, but her dream is to become a producer.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com on Thursday night after renewing her contract with ABS-CBN, Gonzaga said her dream of being a producer started when she held a concert at Araneta Coliseum last September 30.

"Oo 'yun siguro kasi 'yung concert ko sa Araneta parang I was part of the whole process of everything... So na-enjoy ko. It's very hard work pero at the same time if you finished a project like that eh very fulfilling as an artist and as a producer when you get something accomplished," Gonzaga said.

Aside from concerts, Gonzaga also hopes to produce her own TV show.

Gonzaga, who has been a Kapamilya for 7 years, signed a new 3-year-contract with ABS-CBN on Thursday.

"Mananatili akong Kapamilya," she said.

ABS-CBN executives, including ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio, were present during the contract signing.

Gonzaga is currently part of the shows "Happy Yipee Yehey", "The Buzz", "Pinoy Big Brother" and "ASAP Rocks."

Joey de Leon tells Toni: I'm not mad at you

Joey de Leon made it clear that he is not mad at former "Eat Bulaga" co-host Toni Gonzaga, who left the noontime show several years ago to transfer to ABS-CBN.

Gonzaga, one of the hosts of "The Buzz," turned emotional when de Leon gave her a bag containing an "Eat Bulaga" coffee table book.

The said book featured an old photo of Gonzaga with the hosts of the show.

"Dati galit ka sa akin eh. Ngayon di ka na galit sa akin," she told de Leon, who guested for the first time on "The Buzz" on Sunday.

De Leon replied, "Hindi, ano ka ba. Di lang tayo nagkaintindihan. Hindi ako nagagalit sa'yo noon. Binibiro lang kita."

"O tignan mo naman, nung umalis ka umasenso ka," he added, drawing laughter from the audience. "Kung di ka lumayas sa 'Bulaga' edi baka sa EB Babes ka na."

The veteran comedian admitted, though, that they were sad when Gonzaga left the show.

"Siyempre nalungkot kami nung nawala ka. Pero ngayon, napapanood pa rin naman kita eh," he said.

Gonzaga is currently part of "Happy Yipee Yehey," ABS-CBN's noontime variety show.

She said she is thankful for having the opportunity to learn from de Leon, who is considered one of the country's top hosts.

"Mabibilang ko ang sarili ko sa isa sa mga pinakamaswerte sa henerasyon na ito na nakatrabaho ang isang Joey de Leon," she said.

Favorites

De Leon admitted that Gonzaga is currently his favorite personality on television.

This puts Gonzaga alongside Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, who is de Leon' favorite movie actress.

"Kayo ni Sarah, parang kayong dalawa favorite ko eh. Ikaw sa TV, siya sa pelikula," he said.

De Leon is part of Geronimo's upcoming film, "Won't Last A Day Without You."

It will hit theaters nationwide on November 30.

Hosting tips

De Leon also took the opportunity to give tips to both aspiring and current television hosts.

"Baka may mga nakikinig diyan. 'Pag nagho-host kayo, makinig kayo sa co-host niyo," he said.

"'Yung iba kasi solo lang, sarili lang [ang] iniintindi. Maganda ba ako sa TV, anong anggulo. Kailangan makikinig ka kasi mawawala ka sa takbo ng usapan," he added.

Asked if he does this to co-hosts Tito and Vic Sotto, de Leon said, "Iba na kami. Tinginan lang. Di na kailangan mag-usap."

"Close ako sa show. 'Yan ang wag kang aasa [sa co-hosts]. Kahit absent ang lahat ng co-host, dapat kaya mo mag-isa."

The veteran comedian then poked fun at Gonzaga's co-host on "Happy Yipee Yehey," singer Rico J. Puno.

"Alam mo kung bakit ako naiiyak [sa pag-iwan mo sa amin]? Biruin mo, kasama mo Tito Vic and Joey. Tapos kasama mo ngayon si Rico Puno? Nasaan ang kahihiyan mo?" he said.

He quickly added, "Hindi, joke lang 'yun. Pareng Rico, hindi, hindi. Mabait 'yun."

Toni Gonzaga Willing to Leave Showbiz for Married Life

Toni Gonzaga said she is willing to take the back seat when she and her boyfriend, director Paul Soriano, decide to tie the knot.

In an interview with Push.com.ph, Toni admitted that she and  her boyfriend Soriano already had talks about marriage but they are not planning to wed anytime soon.

“Tumagal na rin ng 4 years [ang relationship namin]. Ako 'yun ang pinagdarasal ko. Mahirap magsalita ng tapos pero in my heart, I can say yes, a lot of things can still happen pero pinagpi-pray mo na sana masunod ang kalooban,” she said.

When the time comes, Toni said that she would probably take a step back away from the limelight.

“Siguro buong buhay ko gusto kong mag-artista, maging entertainer pero siyempre when you get married and eventually you commit into a marriage, you would want it to work. So as a woman, as a wife, kailangan mag-effort na i-priority ang family,” she said.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga vowed that while she is not yet married, she would do her best to excel in what she does.

Gonzaga’s movie with comedienne Eugene Domingo titled “Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi” is set to hit the big screens this September.

Gonzaga also said that she is open to doing another movie with actor John Lloyd Cruz following their successful movie “My Amnesia Girl.”

“Ako naman wala akong problema. Anytime, ready ako for the call time for the pelikula. Siyempre ang desisyon na ‘yan ay sa management so hintayin natin kung anong desisyon ng Star Cinema pero I’m always open to do a movie with John Lloyd and [with] anybody,” she said.

Actress and television host Toni Gonzaga said there is no bad blood between her and “Happy Yipee Yehey” (HYY) co-host John Prats, contrary to rumors.

This, after Gonzaga had revealed that Prats and his former girlfriend, singer Rachelle Ann Go, decided to go separate ways.

In an interview with Push.com.ph, Gonzaga said: “Ginagawan kami ng issue pero wala naman.”

On Luis-Angel word war

Meanwhile, Gonzaga evaded answering a question from media on the recent word war between her friend, Luis Manzano, and the latter's former girlfriend, actress Angel Locsin.

“Kahit ano namang pagdaanan ni Luis, masu-surpass niya yun with flying colors. He’s the type of guy who knows when to open his mouth and when to keep it shut,” she said.

“Pero kasi hindi naman siya nag-open sa akin tungkol dun. Wala kaming ganon ni Luis. Puro lang kami positivity and happy moments in life. Yung mga ganyan hindi namin pinag-uusapan. Pero siyempre aware naman tayo sa nangyayaring [kontrobersiya sa buhay niya]. Pero yun, as of the moment, aware pa lang naman tayo,” Gonzaga added.

After receiving criticisms from people when she announced on "The Buzz" that actor John Prats and singer Rachelle Ann Go broke up, television host Toni Gonzaga said she was just doing her job as a talk show host.

In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon," Gonzaga said: "At the end of the day, I’m a showbiz talk show host and I’m embracing it. At stake dito sa trabaho namin ay credibility and panininigdigan namin, prinsipyo namin."

Gonzaga added that she, along with the other talk show hosts, are just delivering the news that the public wish to hear.

"Siyempre si Ate Kris hindi naman natin ikumpara ang sarili natin. Ate Kris is Ate Kris. She's the queen of talk. Tayo talkative lang. Hanggang talkative lang talaga tayo," she said.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga thanked the people who voted for her at the Yahoo OMG awards to be the Favorite Talk Show Host.

Gonzaga said she is happy at what she’s doing and she is ready to learn more in the field.

"I'm really happy to be part of the talk family. Nagsimula siya sa Entertainment Live. Ngayon nagma-masters na ako sa The Buzz. I’m learning so much and one thing that I really discovered about my self is that I will really stick to what I know. I will stick to the truth and to my principles," she said.

Soriano disputed reports that he is already building a house for her, but “that’s something definitely in my future plans.”

When sought for reaction, Gonzaga said in jest: “If I am the boss then he is the utility. (Laughs). Sunod lang ng sunod kasi.. Go lang ng go.”

Gonzaga said she is not yet ready to tie the knot because she is still enjoying “everything that’s been happening right now.” She said she is happy that Soriano respects her wishes.

“Kapag naging asawa na niya ako, if ever in the future, I will make sure that I will put his happiness first. Kasi in my entire relationship with him, laging my happiness, my happiness, my happiness. So sabi ko sa kanya, ‘If God will permit na we will end up together, I promise that I will put your happiness first,'” she said.

Actress and television host Toni Gonzaga has proven that all is well between her and the new Box Office Queen Ai-Ai Delas Alas.

On Sunday, Gonzaga approached Delas Alas after the latter’s “The Buzz” interview.

“Kasi ayaw ko na magkaroon ng issue. Kaya nilapitan ko si Ate Ai-ai. Kasi parang ginawan kami ng issue ni Ate Ai-ai eh wala naman talaga. Sabi ko Ate Ai, congrats. Tapos masaya siya,” Gonzaga told “Showbiz News Ngayon.”

She said she does not have any reason to be sad even if she did not get the title because she has been blessed with a lot of projects. Gonzaga revealed that what’s more important is the joy that she is able to share with the viewers.

The foundation recently named Delas Alas as the Box Office Queen of 2010.

Toni Gonzaga denied talks that she will secretly marry her longtime boyfriend, director Paul Soriano.

Report has it that Gonzaga and her sweetheart are set to exchange 'I dos' in an undisclosed church in Tagaytay this coming May.

Star Cinema is once again gearing for another hit comedy movie this 2011, with comedian Eugene Domingo and romantic comedy princess Toni Gonzaga topbilling it.

Talking to “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Wednesday, Gonzaga shared her excitement for this upcoming movie.

“Alam ko kung gaano kahusay si Ate Uge (Domingo). I’m really excited dahil marami akong matututunan sa kanya,” she said.

Domingo, on the other hand, said she is really looking forward to be working with Gonzaga again after 5 years.

“Nakakatuwa na after ilang years, makakasama ko ulit si Toni. [Si] Toni Gonzaga ang isa sa mga hinahangaan natin na ang dami daming kayang gawin. Alam mong napakasayang tao. I’m really looking forward to working with her, being with her,” said Domingo.

Gonzaga and Domingo first worked together in 2006 in the movie, “You are the One.”

Actor Wendell Ramos is also joining them in the upcoming movie. “I’m excited and I’m honored na of course after noong so many years, nakapagwork ako [ulit] dito sa Star Cinema,” he said.

The movie will be in the hands of veteran director Jose Javier Reyes.

“I’m having really good vibes that this is going to be a lot of fun. At ang isang kasiyahan niyan ay ang tagal tagal ko nang nakakatrabaho si Uge but this is the first time na makakatrabaho ko si Toni Gonzaga,” said Reyes.

Toni Denies Ignoring Fan

MANILA, Philippines – Television host Toni Gonzaga has denied rumors claiming she intentionally snubbed a fan who approached her for a photo.

During the grand press conference of the upcoming show “Happy Yipee Yehey,” Gonzaga said that she never says no to anybody who wishes to have a picture taken with her.

“Hindi naman ako nagsasalita ng ayaw ko. Kung sasabihin ko man na ayaw ko, ang sasabihin ko pasensiya na po. Hindi po ako nagsasabi ng ayaw ko sa mga nagpapa-picture,” she said,

Gonzaga acknowledged that she will never be able to please everyone.

The TV host, however, apologized for inevitable instances wherein celebrities like her are in a rush and won’t be able to entertain everyone.

“Kahit anong try natin na i-accommodate lahat, mayroon at mayroon talaga tayo minsang hindi ma-a-accomodate. Hindi naman po sa nagsusuplada o nagtataray dahil minsan sa oras, hindi po intensyon ‘yon,” she said.
