Daiana Menezes says Sam Pinto deserves where she is right now

Nasa No. 44 ang ranking ni Daiana Menezes sa taong ito ng FHM 100 Sexiest Women of the World poll, kaya naman kasama ang nasabing Brazilian-model-turned-showbiz personality sa mga rumampa sa kakatapos lang na victory party ng FHM sa World Trade Center nuong Huwebes nang gabi.

Inamin ni Daiana sa interview sa kanya ng PEP.ph (Philippines Entertainment Portal) na kinabahan siya sa kanyang dance number.

Dalawa ang naging partisipasyon ng foreign beauty sa show na may burlesque theme: Una ay ang dance number niya with Iwa Moto, at pangalawa ay ang kanyang runway walk para ipakilala siya.

"Iba kasi yung crowd, mostly mga lalake at saka full production number yun. You have to do your best. Yun ang nakaka-pressure doon," aniya.

Tinukso namin si Daiana na baka kaya siya kinabahan ay dahil nasa paligid lang ang kasintahan niyang si Direk GB Sampedro at conscious siya sa magiging galaw niya sa harap ng mga male audience.

"Ay, hindi. Kasi ayaw niya ng mga ganitong event, e." Dagdag pa niya na hindi niya kasama ang naturang boyfriend sa event. Seloso ba si Direk GB Sampedro?

"Hindi naman. Pero conservative kasi kami. Ako rin nahihiya. In an FHM event, I don't think I would feel comfortable to have him around, you know? Seeing whatever it is being seen by the public. You know what I mean?"

Sa dance number niya, naka-hot pants si Daiana at halos walang makitang daring sa kanya ang mga male audience.

"Yeah, I was very wholesome this time," aniya.

Bilin ba ni Direk GB na magpaka-wholesome siya sa appearance niya sa FHM?

"Hindi naman. He supports me in everything I do. I guess, he agrees with everything I do. Kasi we met that way," paliwanag niya.

Nasulat ni Jojo Gabinete sa kanyang kolum sa Abante nitong mga nakaraang araw ang tungkol sa pagpunta ni Daiana sa Hong Kong. Ayon sa panulat, may nakakita sa Brazilian sa airport kasama si Direk GB.

Saad pa ni Jojo, baka kaya hindi sumama si Daiana sa grupo ng Eat Bulaga sa Italy ay dahil sa HK trip nilang ito ng nasabing TV director-boyfriend niya.

Ikinagulat ni Daiana ang pagkakabuko ng kanyang HK trip.

"Actually, I really had a project in HK. I have an agency in HK that got me for a final casting and I had to go there. I also had tapings for Iskul Bukol, and mall tours, so I had to stay here for work.

"They also asked me to come back for the FHM event. I'm also hosting a PLDT MyDSL event that's why I'm here."

Sumama lang ba si direk GB sa kanya sa HK? "Yes, sumama lang siya," aniya.

Hindi nagbabago ang magandang hubog ng katawan ni Daiana. Ayon sa kanya, wala naman siyang sinusunod na diet. Kumakain siya ng mga pagkaing gusto niya.

"I really don't diet, I don't do anything. I just live my my life happy and I'm always in love."

Sa mga kaliwa't-kanang pagbatikos sa pagiging No. 1 ni Sam Pinto sa FHM, suportado raw ito ni Daiana.

"Congratulations to Sam talaga, kasi hindi lang siya sexy, kundi very, very humble siyang tao. Very, very pretty. She deserves where she is right now."

The Brazilian host of television noontime show “Eat Bulaga!” is in hot water after the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on Thursday filed tax evasion charges against her before the Department of Justice.

The BIR said Daiana Menezes did not file any return for taxable years 2007 to 2009 despite being required under the law as a resident alien deriving income from within the Philippines.

Menezes, a Brazilian actress, model and TV host, has been residing in the Philippines since 2007 with current address at Unit 4C Bright Place Condominium, Scout Bayoran St., Quezon City.

She is a regular host of “Eat Bulaga!” being aired on GMA 7 since 2007.

“Based from available documents gathered by the BIR, Ms. Menezes received a total taxable income of P2,659,668.10 in 2007 to 2009 from various sources including Baliwag Lechon Manok, Inc., TAPE, Inc. and GMA Network but failed to pay any tax,” the BIR’s press statement read.

It said her estimated aggregate tax liabilities amounted to P983,658.07 for deficiency income and percentage taxes covering taxable years 2007 to 2009, inclusive of surcharges and interests.

According to the BIR, Menezes registered with the bureau for the purpose of merely securing a Taxpayer Identification Number as part of the essential requirements in all applications for a government permit, license, clearance, official paper or document.

“Under such registration, her tax type is ‘not taxable,’ which will show the willfulness of her act of evading payment of taxes,” the BIR said.

“By reason of her deliberate and repeated non-declaration of revenues or income for taxable years 2007 to 2009 and her failure to pay the income taxes and percentage taxes due thereon, Ms. Menezes failed to pay the correct amount of taxes which resulted in the deprivation of taxes due to the government,” it added.

Menezes’ case is the 38th filed under the Run After Tax Evaders (RATE) program of the BIR under Commissioner Kim Jacinto-Henares.
