Melai confirms breakup with Jason

Melai Cantiveros finally admitted that she broke up with actor Jason Francisco.

"Hindi, oo, hindi," Cantiveros told Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Carlo Romero when asked if Francisco is her real-life boyfriend.

Cantiveros and Francisco entered the PBB house last Sunday to help Big Brother in giving tasks and challenges to the remaining housemates.

Cantiveros also told housemate Deniesse Joaquin that she and Francisco are no longer together.

"Parang ganoon nga (hiwalay na)," she said.

She quickly added: "Pero hindi na naman ako galit sa kanya ngayon."

While talking to Big Brother, Francisco confessed that he and Cantiveros are having misunderstandings.

"Aaminin ko kaming dalawa hindi kami marunong magtago ng feelings ng emotions. Kaya nga noon nakita mo, hindi ako masyadong pinapansin. Aaminin ko may tampuhan kaming dalawa pero dumarating naman 'yon at nagkataon lang na bigla kaming pumasok dito eh nasa moment pa kami ng tampuhan. Pero it doesn't mean na hiwalay na kami forever," Francisco said.

Francisco said their rift stemmed from an incident wherein he forgot to invite Cantiveros to join him in a party hosted by ex-housemate Paul Jake Castillo.

"Sa natatandaan ko kasi hindi ko siya na-invite sa bahay ni pareng Paul Jake. Akala niya, na-feel niya lang, na di siya importante sa akin. In-explain ko naman sa kanya na minsan ay gusto ko ding mag-isa kasi may iniisip ako para sa amin. So na-feel niya yata nanlalamig ako sa kanya o wala na akong feelings," Francisco said.

"Hindi ako nagso-sorry sa kanya so gusto niya lang akong mag-sorry. Ako naman ayaw kong mag-sorry kasi wala naman akong kasalanan," he added.

In the show, Francisco admitted that his feelings for Cantiveros are still the same.

"Siyempre naman mahal, as in ganoon pa din. Sinabi ko sa kanya dati na kung di dahil sa kanya ay di ako magtagal dito (sa PBB house) so ganoon din sa labas. Kasi siya lang ang tao na alam kong magiging kakampi ko at kasanga ba," Francisco said.

Last week, the producers of the Saturday comedy show “Banana Split” have declined to comment on Francisco’s decision to leave the sitcom.

According to rumors, Francisco left the show because of his conflict with Cantiveros.

Jason, Melai already called it quits?

Comedian Jason Francisco has shrugged off rumors saying he and his girlfriend, comedienne Melai Cantiveros, have already called it quits because of actress Kaye Abad.

In a blog entry posted by “The Buzz” headwriter Darla Sauler, Franciso said there is no way that Abad has something to do with his relationship with Cantiveros.

Francisco said he and Abad became close because they are both in the ABS-CBN series “Angelito, Ang Batang Ama.”

"Kasama ko si Kaye sa Angelito, lahat kami dun close. Si Kaye lang super makulit ,syempre ako rin. Kaya palagi kami tawa-tawa. Tsaka kasama namin siya sa Cebu Sinulog. Super cool nila ni Melai dun. Sila palagi magkausap,” he said.

“Tapos nag-date raw kami sa Cebu, hehe. Eh marami kami run magkakasama nag-hangout. Kaya ‘di ko ma-gets kung ano issue dun,” he added.

Cantiveros, on the other hand, admitted that it has been almost one week since she and Francisco last talked.

The comedienne revealed that they had a misunderstanding but she declined to discuss it.

Cantiveros was also mum when asked about Abad. She said she cannot comment about the issue since she and Francisco have not talked yet.

Melai Cantiveros, Jason broke up again?

Reel and real life sweethearts Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco addressed the issue saying they almost broke up countless times while doing their first movie together, "The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of Riles."

In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon", the couple said there is no truth to the said issue.

"Siguro minsan nagkaka-ano (tampuhan). Minsan kasi parehas pagod. Pero ok naman," Francisco said.

"Siyempre may love pa 'yan kasi kapag wala ng love diyan, hindi ko na pakikialaman 'yan," Cantiveros said.

The two admitted that though they have misunderstanding and small fights once in a while, they are still very much in love with each other.

"Hindi naman mawawala 'yon sa relasyon. Mayroong tampuhan, pero hindi na iniisip ang tampuhan para hindi na mag-waste ng heartaches. Normal sa relasyon kung muntik maghiwalay. Pero kung kayo pa din, ibig sabihin na-surpass niyo ang pag-ibig," Cantiveros said.

Currently, the two are busy promoting their movie.

Directed by Soxie Topacio, "The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of Riles" will be shown on July 13 in all theaters nationwide.
