Enchong, Erich on-cam friends only?

Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales finally addressed issue that they are only friends in front of the cameras.

In an interview, the reel couple said what is important is they are giving their best in their work.

"Siguro people are expecting na kapag cut namin ay ganoon pa din kami nagtititigan sa isa't isa. Hindi ganoon. Kumbaga kailangan naming aralin kung ano ang ibinigay sa aming trabaho at 'yun ang pinunta namin doon. Yeah, we are close, pero baka ang iniisip nila sa close ay palaging magkatabi at palaging magka-usap. Siguro 'yun ang old meaning noon pero we understand each other," Dee said.

"To begin with we were really never sobrang, like chika, chika on the set, kasi nandoon kami para magtrabaho. I'm not saying naman na hindi mag-uusap or kung anuman pero hindi ba kapag trabaho eh trabaho talaga? At napaka-importante 'yung during break time namin ay kwentuhan pero kapag trabaho eh trabaho lang,"Gonzales added.

Dee said what makes their relationship different from others is the fact that they know how to handle their misunderstandings as a love team.

"The things that make our relationship colorful or sweeter ay kung anuman ang hindi namin napagkakasunduam ay naayos naming dalawa and that's our advantage. Kumbaga 'yun ang aming edge kung bakit nagla-last ang love team namin," Dee added.

For Gonzales, she's just thankful that her team up with Dee makes people happy.

"Sobrang thankful kami kasi sa partnership namin. Ilang teleserye na kami magkasama at may mga tao kaming napapasaya at nai-inspire namin sila. You know that's very important sa amin. That's why we are here. Dahil sa kanila kaya kami nandito," Gonzales added.

Gonzales and Dee are now finishing the final two weeks of their hit series "Maria La Del Barrio."

Erich, Derek reunite for new film

Actress Erich Gonzales is once again working with hunk actor Derek Ramsay.

In an interview on Monday afternoon, Gonzales said she is finishing some scenes for her upcoming movie with Ramsay.

"Pagkatapos po ng Maria La del Barrio may kanya-kanya kaming pelikulang gagawin ni (Enchong Dee). Siya po ay (The Reunion). Ako naman po ay 'Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang.' Tapos po another movie also with Mario Maurer. So we are very blessed and thankful sa lahat ng blessings at projects na pinagkakatiwala sa amin po," said Gonzales, who worked with Ramsay in the series "Magkaribal."

Gonzales said the movie under Star Cinema will hit theaters on March 14.

"This is a different kind of horror movie. Hindi siya yung tipikal na tatakutin ka lang. Dito si Corazon ay kakaiba talaga, at kung gusto niyo ng ibang tema naman ay panoorin niyo ang Corazon: Ang Unang Asawa."

Gonzales was once linked with Ramsay. Asked if she's worried that new controversies may surface, Gonzales replied: "Wala naman pong katotohanan ang mga 'yon. So 'yun positive lang. Sana suportahan ng tao ang movie namin at sana ay magustuhan nila."

Maria La del Barrio

Currently, Gonzales is the lead star of series "Maria La del Barrio" which is now on its final two weeks.

"Last two weeks na lang po. Three times po siyang na-extend and dahil 'yun sa mainit na pagtanggap ng manonood na gabi-gabi na walang pinapalampas na episode. Kaya sobrang pasasalamat kami sa kanila. 'Di kami tatagal ng seven months kung walang suporta nila," Gonzales said.

"Sa last two weeks ay abangan nila ang pasabog. Gaya ng sinabi ko magbayad ang dapat magbayad. Malalaman nila ang mangyayari kay Maria. Handa niyang gawin para pag-ibig ng anak na ang tagal niyang hinanap," she added.

Erich Gonzales to do film with Thai actor Mario Maurer?

Erich Gonzales landed on the top trending local topics of microblogging site Twitter on Monday after rumors circulated that she will be doing a film with Thai actor Mario Maurer.

The hashtag #ErichGonzales made it to the 8th spot on Twitter's list of top trending topics in the Philippines on Monday morning while Star Cinema, ABS-CBN's movie outfit, landed in 6th place.

Several netizens shared their excitement over the rumored project.

"Erich and Mario will be having a movie together under Star Cinema!! o.O lucky Girl.. im jealous!! :P," Genesis Ching tweeted.

"Omegosh! Is that true that Erich and @ohohmario will pair under Star Cinema?" KC Labios said.

For her part, Jennie Tagubase said, "Erich Gonzales and Mario Maurer will be having a film under Star Cinema! :D im not a fan of Erich but im so excited na :)."

Maurer tweeted last July 8 that he will visit Manila soon. He did not say anything about a new movie project with Gonzales.

'See you soon Philippines,' he wrote.

But Joyce Ramirez of Publicity Asia, the group that will bring Maurer to the Philippines, said they still need to iron things out with Star Cinema.

"STAR CINEMA and I still need to iron out a lot of details including the SCRIPT in the meantime follow @PENSHOPPE for Meet & Greet details!," Ramirez tweeted.

She added, "THE SELECTION of the ACTRESS position will only be revealed after Mario Maurer reviews the SCRIPT - so nothing is FINAL yet! Thank you."

Meanwhile, Ramirez said she will be flying to Thailand next week to introduce Star Cinema to Maurer.

Erich Gonzales: ‘Wala Po Akong Boyfriend, Totoo yun’

Amidst the persistent rumors claiming that Erich Gonzales is already in a relationship with Enrique Gil, the actress stressed that she is single and that Enrique never courted her. Erich also revealed that she made it clear to Enrique that she is not prepared for a relationship because she wants to prioritize her career. “Basta po alam naman niya ‘yon sabi ko talaga sa kanya friends lang, ayoko po ng boyfriend… friends lang,” Erich explained at the pocket press conference of her next teleserye, the Filipino adaptation of the telenovela hit Maria la del Barrio.

In Maria la del Barrio, Erich will reprise the role that was formerly portrayed by Mexican superstar Thalia. Erich said that she feels pressured and excited at the same time about the role. “Sobrang nakakaba talaga and pressured of course but binigyan kami ng chance ng ABS-CBN ulit so hindi namin sila bibiguin. Talagang we’ll give it our best talaga po.” In preparation for the role, Erich changed her hair style and color to imbibe the original character’s look.

Erich will also work with top director Rory B. Quintos, whom she worked before in the film Love Me Again. She also shared that it was Direk Rory, who told her back then to be patient until her break would arrive. “Talagang I’ll never forget the day na sinabi niya sakin na, ‘Be patient. Maghintay ka lang kasi darating ‘yung time mo.’ And ito na ‘yon, after niyang sinabi ‘yon dumating ‘yung Katorse and tuloy-tuloy na ‘yon,” she shared.
