Andi Eigenmann coping well with pregnancy

For the first time after the news broke out that she's pregnant, actress Andi Eigenmann answered questions about her pregnancy.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Eigenmann said that she's coping well.

"Okay naman po. Thank you," Eigenmann said after watching the indie film "Cuchera" at the UP Theater in Diliman Quezon City on Thursday.

Eigenmann said she's not having a hard time working even if her tummy is already getting bigger.

Eigenmann is part of ABS-CBN's hit TV series "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" with Coco Martin as the lead star.

She said that the production staff and people in the show are taking good care of her.

"Okay naman po. Hindi po ako nahihirapan. The staff and crew and the production are giving me the right amount of protection and care that I need at sinusuportahan nila ako dito," Eigenmann said.

The actress said the stars and staff of "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" are preparing for the show's finale.

"Sana abangan niyo. Matagal pa po. We are still working on the ending. Sobrang seryoso lahat kami at ngayon sobrang ngarag magtrabaho para tapusin ang teleserye so sana suportahan niyo," she said.

She also expressed her gratitude to all her fans who keep on supporting her.

"Maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo sa patuloy na pagsuporta niyo sa akin. Sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyo," she said.

Eigenmann's pregnancy was confirmed last month by her mother, actress Jaclyn Jose.

Until now, the family of the actress has refused to name the father of the baby.

Eigenmann is set to give birth before the end of the year.

Angeline Quinto admitted that, given the chance, she would definitely pick "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" star Coco Martin over singing sensation Erik Santos.

In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Friday, Quinto revealed that Martin has been her longtime crush even before she entered showbiz.

“Si Coco Martin, parang pantasya ko ‘yon e,” she blurted.

She even expressed how much she appreciated Martin’s surprise guesting during her recently concluded solo concert, wherein he gave her a necklace.

“Pagkatapos ng concert ko talagang nag-thank you naman ako sa kanya sa text. Sobrang nagpasalamat ako kasi 'di ko talaga inasahan na pupunta siya doon,” she said.

Meanwhile, Angeline Quinto also said she admires Santos.

She explained, “Si Kuya Erik kasi dati talagang crush ko ‘yan kasi idol ko siya sa pagkanta simula nung nanalo siya sa 'Star in a Million.'”

But as much as she openly adores Santos, Angeline said what she feels toward him is more of brotherly affection.

“Sobrang sweet lang talaga ni Kuya Erik, pero ‘kuya’ kasi tawag ko talaga sa kanya. Parang kapatid lang din kasi turing niya sa akin,” she said.

In a separate interview, Santos, admitted that he, too, admires Quinto as an artist.

“Medyo kilala ko na si Angeline and ang masasabi ko na napakabait niya, napaka-professional and hardworking,” he said.

He even added that he is looking forward to their upcoming concert abroad.

Young actress Kiray Celis clarified on Friday that she is not in a romantic relationship with Piolo Pascual’s son, Iñigo.

Fourteen-year-old Kiray was romantically linked with the lad after she reportedly posted their pictures on her Twitter account a few days back.

In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Kiray claimed that she and Iñigo are merely good friends.

“Nagkakilala kami sa 'ASAP', pero 'di ko siya pinansin. Napansin ko lang siya nung Star Magic party,” she explained.

In addition to this, she even revealed the interesting nicknames they have for each other.

But should Iñigo decide on his own to follow his footsteps, Pascual clarified his only condition for his son.

Maria Aragon: 'I feel very blessed'

Filipino-Canadian singer Maria Aragon is elated to have shared the stage with pop princess Sarah Geronimo for a production number on “ASAP Rocks.”

In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Maria Aragon said it never crossed her mind that she’ll sing with either Geronimo or any of the “ASAP” stars.

“It was an amazing experience especially getting to sing with the one and only Sarah Geronimo. She was really nice and she was amazingly talented. It was such a blessing and honor that everybody welcomed me at ASAP,” she said.

“I feel very blessed and I want to say thank you to everybody for your support,” she added.

Things to do

Maria Aragon also revealed what keeps her busy while she is here in the Philippines.

“Well for now we are recording an album and that’s gonna be coming out some time in August and it’s gonna have songs like ‘Born This Way,’ just a little bit of a revival of that song. We’re gonna do the song ‘You’re my Home’ by Lea Salonga. We’re gonna be doing another version of that for a movie under Star Cinema and it’s gonna be coming out soon so we’re really excited for that too,” she said.

Aside from her record deal with Star Records, Maria Aragon also mentioned that she’ll be doing a charity work which will benefit the poor children in the country.

“I just want to talk about another event that I’m doing. It’s called the Couples For Christ Global Ancop. The money from it goes towards the education for poor children in the Philippines,” she said.

“The other day I cried in an interview because it’s really important to me that we should all be aware of the different situations and tragedies that are happening. When I went to the Philippines, there were kids on the street and they had no home, they had no bed and it made me cry,” Aragon said.

Maria Aragon said the opportunities don't normally happen in Canada and she wants “to make a change and hopefully I influence other people to make a change too.”

Best advice

Asked what is the best advice that she ever got from her parents or from the people that she has worked with, Aragon said: “You should always stay grounded.”

“I’ve been through a lot but the thing is you should always stay grounded. I always stay with God. I always pray with my family every night and just always be grateful for what you have because there are some kids or a lot of people that don’t have what we have. We are very privileged to have what we have. It’s very important to me,” she explained.

Several netizens shared their excitement over the rumored project.

Maria Aragon Sign Up Contract with Star Records

Maria Aragon signed a contract on Friday for a record deal with Star Records.

Aside from doing her first solo album, the 11-year-old singer will also guest in the upcoming concert of Yeng Constantino to sing "Hawak Kamay."

Aragon will also be the voice behind the new rendition of Lea Salonga's hit "You're My Home" for the movie "Way Back Home" of Katherine Bernardo and Julia Montes for Star Cinema.

Argon said she still could not believe all these blessings coming her way.

"It's just a really big opportunity and I feel so blessed," she said.

Her mother Menchie likewise said she never thought her daughter's dream would one day come true. "Happy. Sobrang happy," she said.

But aside from the promising career of her daughter, Menchie is also glad that the record deal paved the way for their whole family to return to the Philippines after 14 years.

After Aragon's showbiz commitments, the whole family plans to go to Ormoc so the young singer can meet her grandmother and other relatives.

Shamcey Supsup Prepares for Miss Universe Pageant

The camera has started to roll for Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup, as she began preparing for the upcoming Miss Universe 2011 pageant.

Shamcey told “Showbiz News Ngayon” that her training includes following a strict diet to gain more weight.

“I have to drink milk twice a day. I have to eat more protein or less carbs. Pero I still eat rice. I think I’ve gained weight already. From 105 lbs, I’m now 112 lbs. They want me to gain more like siguro mga 3 lbs na lang,” she said.

Shamcey said that although her training regimen is stressful, she gets through it because of the support that she receives from her friends.

“The training is stressful. But what makes it more bearable is having friends with you. Nakakatuwa. Kahit ako ang unang ipapadala, lahat sila kasama. Kasama ko sila sa Spanish class, kasama ko sila sa Portguese class, sa gym. Ang mga kasama ko sila ang nagpapagaan ng lahat ng trainings ko,” she said.

Supsup said that she is nervous and excited about the pageant.

“Yung excitement at kaba magkahalo na. But then I always tell myself na you just keep your faith and if it’s God’s will, then it will be given to you as you long as you’re ready for it,” Supsup said.

The Miss Universe pageant is scheduled to be held in Brazil in September.

Ruffa expressed her sincerest gratitude to an honest driver who voluntarily returned her 6 pairs of custom-made shoes left in his taxi by her assistant.

On "Aksyon Ngayon" program on radio dzMM on Tuesday, Ruffa Gutierrez gladly extended her appreciation to the driver named Ariel.

“Nagpapasalamat ako kay Mr. Ariel kasi talagang napakabait niya,” Gutierrez said.

Ruffa posted on Twitter on Monday an appeal for the return of her shoes bought from Hong Kong.

She tweeted: “Mr. Taxi Driver or susunod na pasaherong makahanap ng 6 pairs of shoes pakisauli nalang po sa Imperial Palace Hotel front desk sa Tomas Morato, QC or tumawag sa 09166840246.”

This was followed by her humble requests for a retweet among her followers.

Apparently, Ariel has no access to the said social networking site. He clearly had no idea that the shoes he had decided to return belong to Gutierrez.

Radio dzMM and Gutierrez decided to give Ariel a modest reward for his noble deed.

“Magbibigay ako ng konting pabuya sa kanya,” Gutierrez told dzMM.

Actress-host Charlene Gonzales shared her excitement as a mother now that her daughter, Atasha, is officially part of the cast of the "Sound of Music."

Nasa No. 44 ang ranking ni Daiana Menezes sa taong ito ng FHM 100 Sexiest Women of the World poll, kaya naman kasama ang nasabing Brazilian-model-turned-showbiz personality sa mga rumampa sa kakatapos lang na victory party ng FHM sa World Trade Center nuong Huwebes nang gabi.

Inamin ni Daiana sa interview sa kanya ng PEP.ph (Philippines Entertainment Portal) na kinabahan siya sa kanyang dance number.

Dalawa ang naging partisipasyon ng foreign beauty sa show na may burlesque theme: Una ay ang dance number niya with Iwa Moto, at pangalawa ay ang kanyang runway walk para ipakilala siya.

"Iba kasi yung crowd, mostly mga lalake at saka full production number yun. You have to do your best. Yun ang nakaka-pressure doon," aniya.

Tinukso namin si Daiana na baka kaya siya kinabahan ay dahil nasa paligid lang ang kasintahan niyang si Direk GB Sampedro at conscious siya sa magiging galaw niya sa harap ng mga male audience.

"Ay, hindi. Kasi ayaw niya ng mga ganitong event, e." Dagdag pa niya na hindi niya kasama ang naturang boyfriend sa event. Seloso ba si Direk GB Sampedro?

"Hindi naman. Pero conservative kasi kami. Ako rin nahihiya. In an FHM event, I don't think I would feel comfortable to have him around, you know? Seeing whatever it is being seen by the public. You know what I mean?"

Sa dance number niya, naka-hot pants si Daiana at halos walang makitang daring sa kanya ang mga male audience.

"Yeah, I was very wholesome this time," aniya.

Bilin ba ni Direk GB na magpaka-wholesome siya sa appearance niya sa FHM?

"Hindi naman. He supports me in everything I do. I guess, he agrees with everything I do. Kasi we met that way," paliwanag niya.

Nasulat ni Jojo Gabinete sa kanyang kolum sa Abante nitong mga nakaraang araw ang tungkol sa pagpunta ni Daiana sa Hong Kong. Ayon sa panulat, may nakakita sa Brazilian sa airport kasama si Direk GB.

Saad pa ni Jojo, baka kaya hindi sumama si Daiana sa grupo ng Eat Bulaga sa Italy ay dahil sa HK trip nilang ito ng nasabing TV director-boyfriend niya.

Ikinagulat ni Daiana ang pagkakabuko ng kanyang HK trip.

"Actually, I really had a project in HK. I have an agency in HK that got me for a final casting and I had to go there. I also had tapings for Iskul Bukol, and mall tours, so I had to stay here for work.

"They also asked me to come back for the FHM event. I'm also hosting a PLDT MyDSL event that's why I'm here."

Sumama lang ba si direk GB sa kanya sa HK? "Yes, sumama lang siya," aniya.

Hindi nagbabago ang magandang hubog ng katawan ni Daiana. Ayon sa kanya, wala naman siyang sinusunod na diet. Kumakain siya ng mga pagkaing gusto niya.

"I really don't diet, I don't do anything. I just live my my life happy and I'm always in love."

Sa mga kaliwa't-kanang pagbatikos sa pagiging No. 1 ni Sam Pinto sa FHM, suportado raw ito ni Daiana.

"Congratulations to Sam talaga, kasi hindi lang siya sexy, kundi very, very humble siyang tao. Very, very pretty. She deserves where she is right now."

Eula Valdes opens victory party of FHM 100 Sexiest Women

Aside from being the cover girl for the FHM magazine July issue, si Eula Valdes ay isa sa mga rumampa sa ginanap na victory party ng FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World sa World Trade Center last July 14.

Isa si Eula sa nakatanggap ng malakas na palakpakan at hiyawan mula sa audience. Ano ang pakiramdam niya rito?

"Masaya, masaya ako. Mas ganadong maglakad, mas ganadong rumampa," nakangiting sabi ni Eula nang makausap siya ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

Mas lalong na-prove ni Eula sa sariling tama lang ang desisyon niya to pose for FHM for the second time.

Aniya, "Parang ano nga yun, kasi magpu-43 na ako, and yet, na-invite pa nila ako na mag-cover ulit.

"Kumbaga, ito yung not for anybody else yung desisyon ko. Kumbaga, trophy ko para sa sarili ko, reward ko na, at least, na-maintain ko, naalagaan ko ang sarili ko."

Sa presscon noon para sa FHM 100 Sexiest, sinabi na ni Eula ang pagiging konserbatibo ng kanyang boyfriend na si Rocky Salumbides.

Naikuwento na nito noong isang taon na unang beses siyang rumampa ay hindi siya nito pinanood. Pero, iko-convince raw niya ang boyfriend this time.

Pero hindi pa rin siya nagawang panoorin ni Rocky na rumampa noong Huwebes ng gabi.

"Nasa labas, naghihintay lang. Sabi ko sa 'yo, e, hindi talaga!" natatawang sabi ni Eula.

Hindi ba niya talaga na-convince?

"Hindi ko talaga siya na-convince kasi ayaw niya talaga. Kapag ayaw niya, ayaw niya.

"Pero proud naman daw siya. Pero, hindi ko siya pipilitin kasi baka mag-cause lang ng away, di ba?"

Tinanong din namin si Eula kung posible pa rin ba siyang rumampa next year sa ikatlong pagkakataon?

"Bahala na. Kung hindi pa ako madyubis [mataba]!" natatawang sabi na lang niya.

Janna Dominguez and Iwa Moto snub each other at FHM victory party

May common denominator sina Janna at Iwa.

Parehong rumampa noong Huwebes ng gabi, July 14, sa victory party ng FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2011 sina Janna Dominguez at Iwa Moto sa World Trade Center, Pasay City.

Si Janna ang napapabalitang girlfriend ngayon ng ex-boyfriend ni Iwa na si Mickey Ablan.

Matatandaang nagkaroon ng magulong hiwalayan sina Iwa at Mickey. Reportedly, nauwi ito sa paninira ng ilang mga property at sa suicide attempt ni Iwa.

Sa FHM party nagkita, pero hindi nagpansinan sina Janna at Iwa.

"Nagkita kami, pero hindi kami nagbatian. Mas maganda kasing ganun na lang," pagkumpirma ni Janna sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) nang ma-interview namin siya sa backstage pagkatapos ng show.

Idinadahilan ni Janna na pareho silang busy ni Iwa sa show kaya hindi sila nagkaroon ng pagkakataong makapag-usap.

"Hindi talaga kami nagbatian, e. Pero okey lang, relax lang.

"Yung mga babae siyempre, party, party. Hindi naman porke nasa stage ka mag-aaway na kayo," paliwanag niya.

Nailang ba siya nang makita niya si Iwa sa stage?

"Okey lang, sakto lang," mabilis niyang sagot. Anong ibig sabihin ng "sakto lang"?

"Kasi alam ko namang wala akong ginawang masama sa kanya. Hindi ko siya natapakan in any way na alam ko.

"Kasi kung alam kong nakatapak ako ng tao, magsu-sorry ako.

"Pero hindi ko kailangang mag-sorry sa kanya dahil wala naman akong ginagawang masama sa kanya," paliwanag ni Janna, na ang tinutukoy pa rin ay si Iwa.

Hindi ba masakit sa feelings yung alam mong wala kang ginagawa masama, pero sa ginagawang pag-iwas sa kanya ni Iwa ay parang meron siyang ginawang mabigat?

"Hindi. Parang nirerespeto ko siya kung anuman ang dinadamdam niya, or what. Kasi, hindi pa naman kami nakakapag-usap nang maayos.

"And if ever na mag-usap kami nang maayos, sana totoo lahat.

"Yun naman ang importante. Kasi si Mickey, nagsalita naman sa akin na lahat totoo. Ganyan. Yun naman ang importante.

"Saka kung friends kami, di ba, nasabi ko sa Showbiz Central. Friends kami, pero yung sa amin, parang, 'O, Mare, kumusta?' Ganun-gano'n lang.

"Walang malalim na pinag-ugatan na, alam mo yun? Na walang isini-share sa isa't isa. Yung bonding moments namin or whatever. Walang gano'n."

Ibig sabihin, walang dapat panghinayangan kung hindi man sila magbatian? "Wala," ang mabilis niyang sagot.

HIDING MICKEY. Sa interview ng PEP kay Janna, nalaman naming hindi niya kasama si Mickey that night.

"Wala. Wala siya dito, kasi hindi mo naman kailangang ipangalandakan na nakikita kami ng mga tao," sabi niya.

Noong magkarelasyon pa sina Iwa at Mickey, laging sumasama ang huli sa aktres para suportahan ito.

Naisip tuloy naming baka dahil nandoon din sa blowout party ng FHM si Iwa kaya hindi na sumama si Mickey kay Janna?

"Hindi naman. Siguro mas magandang iwas na lang tayo sa kung anumang posibilidad na puwedeng mangyari.

"Hindi namin wini-wish na mangyari yun, di ba?" paliwanag niya.

Ewan lang namin kung itinatago ni Janna si Mickey, pero nalaman naming nandoon lang pala sa paligid ang lalake at umiiwas ito sa mga press.

Nakaalis na si Iwa nang sumulpot si Mickey kaya maaaring hinintay lang nitong makaalis ang dating kasintahan bago siya pumunta sa backstage para kay Janna.

Hindi namin alam kung itinanggi lang ni Janna na nandoon si Mickey, o sadyang wala siyang kaalam-alam sa pagdating ng kanyang rumored boyfriend.

Angeline Quinto wows crowd in solo concert

Four months after she was hailed as the first “Star Power” grand winner, singer Angeline Quinto wowed the crowd as she held her first sold out solo concert last Friday.

The SM North EDSA Skydome was filled with Quinto’s fans, friends and family who all wanted to witness her singing prowess.

Celebrities including “Star Power” finalists Akiko and K-La were also spotted at the event.

“Ate Angeline, sobrang congrats talaga. Alam namin talaga na sobrang masaya ka ngayon. Nandito pa rin kami para sayo,” Akiko said.

Also there was international singing sensation Charice’s mom, Raquel.

“Ang message ko sa kanya, yung message ko kay Charice, yun na rin ang message ko sa kanya. Always [keep your feet] on the ground. Huwag lalaki ang ulo. Dapat yung mga dating tao na tumulong sa kanya balikan niya iyon dahil iyon din ang mag-aangat ng mag-aangat sa kanya,” she said.

Among Quinto’s guests were Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, Richard Poon and Coco Martin.

Quinto also had a special production number with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, whom she considers her idol.

“Siyempre isang karangalan po iyon sa akin. Siyempre idolo ko yon eh. Bata pa lang ako idolo ko na si Ms. Regine tapos siya pa ang nagsabi sa akin na next superstar. Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam po at wala akong masabi kundi thank you talaga,” Quinto said.

According to Quinto, Velasquez also gave her a pair of earrings during their song rehearsals.

Deborah Sun lambasts cousin Maja Salvador

Veteran actress Deborah Sun lambasted her cousin, young actress Maja Salvador, for being disrespectful.

"Alam mo, ang sinasabi ko lang, kahit hindi ako, pero kung ahead sa iyo, senior sa iyo, kahit 'di mo kilala, bigyan mo ng respeto," Sun told reporters during a press conference for ABS-CBN's TV series "Reputasyon."

Sun was referring to incidents when Salvador snubbed her, such as what happened at the wake of the latter's father a long time ago.

When asked if she knows why Salvador acted that way, Sun replied: "Wala lang. Honestly speaking, plastik at fake siya."

As a cousin, Sun said she only wants Salvador to be respectful and just be true to herself.

"Ako, hindi ko sinasabing sikat ako or whatever. Ako, ito lang ang sasabihin ko: Ang daming binibigay sa kanya na magagandang project ng 2 (ABS-CBN). Ayaw tumuloy why? Nagagalit siguro si Lord dahil sa iyong A--capital A, iyong Attitude," Sun said.

"Alam mo, 'yong mga half sister niya nagkukuwento sa akin na ganito. Ang sabi niya, siya ay tumutulong sa pamilya niya. No, it's all kayabangan or whatever," Sun said.

Toni Gonzaga: No bad blood with John Prats

Actress and television host Toni Gonzaga said there is no bad blood between her and “Happy Yipee Yehey” (HYY) co-host John Prats, contrary to rumors.

This, after Gonzaga had revealed that Prats and his former girlfriend, singer Rachelle Ann Go, decided to go separate ways.

In an interview with Push.com.ph, Gonzaga said: “Ginagawan kami ng issue pero wala naman.”

Asked if she and Prats remain good friends despite her revelation, Gonzaga said: “Actually, hindi naman kami nagkakasama everyday sa studio kasi lagi siyang nasa labas. “Kahit ano namang pagdaanan ni Luis, masu-surpass niya yun with flying colors. He’s the type of guy who knows when to open his mouth and when to keep it shut,” she said.

“Pero kasi hindi naman siya nag-open sa akin tungkol dun. Wala kaming ganon ni Luis. Puro lang kami positivity and happy moments in life. Yung mga ganyan hindi namin pinag-uusapan. Bianca Manalo denies having relationship with John Prats

Former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Bianca Manalo has reiterated that there is nothing romantic going on between her and her “Happy Yipee Yehey” co-host, actor John Prats.

In an interview with Push.com.ph during the red carpet premiere of “The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles” on Tuesday, Manalo said she and Prats are just good friends.

Melanie Marquez repackages herself as painter

Beauty queen-turned-actress Melanie Marquez is making a splash in the Philippine art world.

Upon returning to the Philippines from Utah, United States where her family has a ranch, Marquez repackaged herself as a painter.

Marquez’s 2 paintings are part of an exhibit dubbed “Art and Beauty,” which is on view at the Ricco Renzo Galleries and Café on Nicanor Garcia Street (formerly Reposo Street), Bel-Air 2 in Makati City.

She is one of the former beauty queens participating in the event.

The works of Nina Ricci Alagao, Lani Lobangco, Maria Isabel Lopez and Vangie Pascual are also on display.

The exhibit, held in cooperation with the National Commission on Culture and Arts and the Character Building Foundation Inc., opened on Wednesday night and will run until July 31.

During the opening night, Marquez said she always wanted to create something different and something that people would talk about.

She said she kept her talent hidden for 25 years and “it is about time” to display it.

“I’d like to give my gratitude to Maria Isabel for pushing me so hard, to express and show the hidden talent that I’ve kept for so long,” she told ABS-CBN News.

Marquez used candle wax to create her masterpieces.

“I used candle, molten rocks… I want to be different if ever I’m going to show something. Sa totoo lang, under stress ako ni Maria Isabel kasi kinukulit niya ako. Nililigawan niya ako to do something kahit isa lang daw… I prayed a lot. What I did is sketch it and make it happen,” she said.

She has also been inspired to compete and display her works in the US. “I want to do something na hindi pa nila nakikita. I want to do it in Utah. Hopefully, kung may competition in New York, then I will be one of the candidates who will compete.”

She is not staying long in the Philippines for she has to go to Malaysia before going back to Utah for “personal businesses that I have to attend to.”

“For Miss World, yes. Actually ngayon, everyday akong naggi-gym. Not just for Miss World, also for Sisid, kasi I’m part of Sisid po ngayon, and I heard na may mga swimsuit scenes kami ni Jackie Rice. Magpapatalbugan kami sa swimming pool, so medyo nagpapa-sexy ako ngayon," ayon sa aktres.
