Actor Jomari Yllana finally explained his side on reports that he has turned his back on his business partner and good friend Ronald Singson when he needed him the most.
Yllana explained in “Bandila” on Tuesday that, although he was not vocal about it, he continuously showed his support to Singson while he was jailed in Hong Kong.
“Isa akong kaibigan na hindi nanlalaglag, at saka walang iwanan sa akin pagdating sa pagkakaibigan,” he said.
According to Yllana, more than friendship, he and Singson share a brotherly connection.
He said, “Tawag ko diyan [kay Ronald] ‘Kaps’ eh, short for ‘Kapatid.’ Masyadong malalim ‘yung pinagdadaanan namin, masyadong malalim ‘yung friendship namin.”
And even though their concert production business, Fearless Production, has been compromised by the predicament Singson faced, Yllana said they remain good friends.
He explained, “Nung natigil ‘yung concert siguro naisip ng iba papaano ‘yung negosyo, but nobody asked me kung papaano ‘yung pagkakaibigan. Sa akin pinaka-importante ‘yon eh. Nawawala ‘yung negosyo pero mas matindi sa akin ‘yung pagkakaibigan kaysa negosyo.”
In order to prove that he and Singson are currently in good terms, Yllana even shared the new business venture they are planning to invest in.
“Okay kami, nagpa-plano na nga kaming susubukan namin mag-pelikula (film production),” he said.
Meanwhile, Yllana admitted that he is actually mulling over the possibility of entering politics.
When asked about his plans to run for public office, he replied, “Pagdating ng araw [tatakbo ako].”
However, Yllana was quick to add that pursuing a political career is not something he is planning to pursue in the near future.
