They may not be back in each other’s arms yet but former Ilocos Sur Rep. Ronald Singson said he and actress Lovi Poe are “taking everything slow.”
In an interview with ABS-CBN News during the birthday celebration of television host Tim Yap on Tuesday night, Singson said he and Poe already had the chance to talk since he arrived home.
“We just had a talk and siguro sa dami ng nangyari, hindi yata kasya yung isa o dalawang araw na mag-usap so we’re just taking it slow,” he said.
Singson said he missed Poe when he was detained in a Hong Kong jail.
“[I miss] everything about her. Siyempre ang dami naming pinagsamahan eh. Tapos biglang nawala. I don’t know. I really can’t explain,” he said.
Meanwhile, Singson said he is glad that people are warmly welcoming him since he came back.
“It’s very good to be back. I’m so happy that people are treating me this way. They welcome me na parang walang nangyaring masama. Nakakataba ng puso,” he said.
Singson was released from a Hong Kong prison on January 14 after spending almost a year behind bars for drug possession.
Singson was convicted in February 24, 2011 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison by the Wan Chai District Court in Hong Kong after he admitted that the drugs found in his possession were intended for personal use.
However, the former lawmaker was released early from Tung Tao Correctional Institute probably due to good behavior.
